STEMWORLD Educational Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding access to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) in schools, and providing access into these fields for disadvantaged and marginalized groups. Our stance is that every student has the right to accessible, practical, and hands-on experience with STEM in preparation for their prosperous careers; be it artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, or otherwise – all as a part of their core, K-12 education.
Across our various STEM platforms, we look to hire students studying Software and Computer Engineering for the design and implementation of STEM Educationally- Serious-Games (grades K-12). These students will support ongoing activities while experienced engineers will provide mentoring to support their peers’ career skills’ development
Tasks and Responsibilities
Throughout our STEM educational programs, this position will involve the design and implementation of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) Applications.
This will include the provision of services in various areas: § STEM Educational Game Development
§ Computer Engineering Technology
§ STEM Software Programminghe candidate will be part of the requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of STEM Applications.
§
§ Plan, design, and implement activities and ensure technical solution
quality.
§ Provide third-level support for various technologies and drive technical- platform evolution and improvements.
§ The candidate will contribute using Agile-Evidence-Review methodologies throughout their contract.
§ The candidate will be using the Unity 3D game-engine and C #/JS programming languages for Game development and other related applications.
§ The candidate will be involved in the presentation of technical topics at regularly scheduled corporate meetings, as well as manage the low-level planning of various packages.
§ The candidate will estimate activities and tasks required to perform design, as well as develop software and conduct unit/integration tests.
§ The candidate will be involved in the research, development, and data collection related the objectives of the project.
§ The candidate will contribute to the foundation that will constitute STEM products’ marketing and business administration schemas.
§ Additionalresponsibilitiesmaybenegotiatedaccordingtocandidate profiles.

1. FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:
• Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
• Be able to build technical knowledge in designing STEM
Applications, which foster knowledge of, for example, the
environmental sector.

• Critical thinking.
• Problem solving.TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Interest and self-starter in STEM Game Development
• Be able to use/learn Unity 3D Gaming Platform Environment
• Be able to use Agile Scrum Framework/User Centered Design
• Be able to use the Agile Framework into the following: requirements
analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of
educational games.
• Be able to participate and play a role in the programming team
(Game Development) to: Specify pedagogical objectives; specify the pedagogical scenario (learning objectives + game setting); work and produce design documents and proof-of-concepts (Architecture-Model-Prototype).
• Be able to design, develop, program, and evaluate games. • Play an active role in the development team and debug
processes.

These positions with a strong STEM focus are involved in projects developing Software, Educational Serious games surrounding but not limited to:
 Water and the Environment
 Air Pollution
 Pollution and Waste Management
 Wildlife, Plants, and Species
 Environmental and Wildlife Enforcement
 Climate Change

Provision of services in various areas, including:

 Computer Engineering Technology
 STEM Software Programming
 STEM Educational Game Development

Responsibilities will include:

 Plan design/implementation activities, ensure technical solution quality, provide third-level support for various technologies, end drive technical platform evolution and improvements.
 Present technical topics at regular TSA meetings and manage low-level planning of work packages
 Estimates activities, tasks required to perform design, coding, and unit testing
 Research, Development, collection, and analysis of data related to the objectives and activities of the Company;
 Assistance in the development and enhancement of various STEM products and the creation of different tools.
 STEM products marketing and business administration tasks
 Support to directors, managers, and officers in the development and ex*****on of special initiatives and projects including STEM learning assistance of our customers;
 Specific requirements will be created and updated depending on the candidate profile.

STEM Internship Program is a 16-week internship program specifically designed for students in their first or second year of a bachelor’s degree program and provides the opportunity to experience the main phases of the educational technology delivery cycle: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. This program is designed to encourage your interest in science, technology, engineering, mathematics or a related technical discipline.

STEM Internship Program is intended for students who are beginning their academic studies and would like to learn more about careers in STEM through a learning program. Interns will gain group project experience working alongside other STEM Interns. Your on-the-job learning will be enhanced with mentoring, community building and networking opportunities.
Responsibilities
You will work closely within a team of STEM Interns and have end-to-end ownership for design, development, and quality of a project that will impact learners and your broader team. Throughout the internship you’ll gain hands-on experience with various STEM educational tools and programming languages. Working closely with the STEM learning Coordinator, and Mentors you will evaluate requirements, assist learners, create and implement features and services. During the 16-week internship you’ll experience both core tech disciplines (STEM Education Program and Software Tools).
