It's that time of year again for Freedom Dog Rescue to give back to the community!

This year we are collecting toys for the children and youth at CHEO.

A donation of the following items can be made. All items must be brand new, unopened, tags on and in their original packaging. Please do not gift wrap the items (decorative bags, bows etc. are ok).

-Lego Sets
-Hot wheels
-Crafting supplies
-Small to Med stuffies
(We will email you a poster with a bigger list)

Drop-off locations will be provided by email. Please do not deliver items directly to CHEO.

He was returned to our care to no fault of his own

Checkers is male and is approximately 6-12 months old (to be confirmed)

He arrived from a shelter

Secret Santa 2023 is back!
With Christmas around the corner we will be doing Secret Santa again this year. Keep an eye out for our adoptables and palliatives Christmas wish lists. The best part is you will be able to meet them and give them their gifts directly and be able to see how happy they are and how much they appreciate it!

*All gifts go with them to their adopted homes when they are adopted*
*All dogs can have more then 1 secret Santa.
* we cannot hold adoptions of dogs so sometimes you will be offered another dog.

Last but not lease for our feel Good Friday medical updates is baby Bono.

Bono was super lucky to have his care done at Almonte Veterinary Services with Dr.Clark.
Little Bono came into care with a broken leg.
Dr Clark repaired his leg and added pins. Bono is heeling nicely in his foster home and will soon be able to start meeting potential adopters.
Bono says huge thank you for supporting his fellow medical cases.

With your donations even if it’s $1 a day, we are able to help these sweet souls that need it the most.

Feel Good Friday now brings the boy I’m sure your all waiting for an update on!!

WHISKEY!!!!! The boy who almost died from swallowing a ball.
Whiskey is now completely heeled and ready to start his new life:
Huge thank you to Animal Emergency & Speciality Hospital and Alta Vista Animal Hospital for all your care for whiskey. The ups and downs while we all waited for him to pull through.

For those who don’t know whiskey. He needed surgery to have a ball removed. During his surgery the vets realized that a part of his intestine was dead and needed to be removed. Whiskey was pretty sick but pulled through thanks to all the thoughts/prayers and amazing vetting teams.

Whiskey wants to thank you for everyone who donated.
We were able to raise $5621 to go towards his $15000 bill

Another Fee god Friday!

Remember Tyson?
Tyson came into care as an emergency as well.
Sweet little Tyson came into care with bladder stones. Thanks to Eagleson Tyson is now ready for adoption (awaiting his vaccines)
He had surgery to have the stones removed.

Tyson wants to say thank you to all his supporters for their donations
We were able to raise $245 of his $5500 invoice.

Welcome our first Feel Good Friday.

Who better to start it off other then the one and only Oliver the survivor!

Oliver is now at home with his foster family getting all the love and affection that he wants. He has settled and and claimed foster moms bed as his own.
This guy is such a trooper!!
Again we cannot thank the staff at Animal Emergency & Speciality Hospital for everything they have done.

Oliver wants to give a huge thank you to all his supporters and donations for his care.

His emergency care cost $2496.17

We have great news to start our welcome Wednesday!!!!!

Our sweet Oliver from yesterday should be released and on his way to his foster home tonight!!!!
We cannot thank the Animal Emergency and Speciality Hospital enough for helping him and loving him. You have truly shown him what it is to be cared for and that not everyone will be cruel.

Medical update:
Seems our sweet vizsla x oliver has no brain damage, no fractures and all in all it doing great.
All your thoughts and prayers have helped!
He is amazing vet staff are making sure his electrolytes are good.
He will need very slow intro to food. Small amounts cause they aren’t sure how long he’s been without food.

Thank you all so very much for reaching out and supporting our medical cases.
As of early this morning we have raised $3000 towards him. However haven’t had the chance to tally up the totals.
We believe that you have all donated more the. His vet bills. If that is the cause we will definitely be able to help the next emergency case in need.
