Backpacks for the Homeless

Delivery day went off without a hitch thanks to Trevor Woodside and his 2 sons and Roxanne Pilon as well as other volunteers. Backpacks for the Homeless would like to thank each and everyone of you for your help and support this year, even through this difficult time. Hundreds of the Homeless in our area will receive this special gift of warmth, love and hope because of the actions of so many across the city who chose to make Backpacks for the Homeless a priority. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you.

Good evening everyone. Everything is set for the big day. Tomorrow, Backpacks for the Homeless will be delivering all of those wonderful backpacks filled with the essentials to those who are in need for Christmas. Unfortunately, I will not be able to participate in the big day as I have been stuck at home suffering from Bronchitis and pneumonia. Luckily, Backpacks for the homeless has a few angels on the team. I truly need to thank Roxanne Pilon and Lucille Beaulieu for their hard work. These two are unstoppable and to be frank, this years backpacks would never have been ready for delivery without them. They have always been the hardest workers on the team but this year they simply did an incredible job and I am forever in their debt for everything they have done. I also want to thank Steven Taylor who has been with us almost since the beginning who also had to step it up in my absence while balancing work, you're amazing! And although there will be more to thank later, I do want to take a moment to thank Waidt Construction owner Trevor Woodside. He has been not only supplying the big U-Haul truck and driving the delivery but Waidt also has been making substantial monetary donations and on top of all that, he and his family have filled 72 backpacks. Thank you to everyone for all your help and although I can't be with you in person, I will most certainly be with you in spirit. Love you guys!

We are here at G.A.B.'s today with LM Leadership et Team Building group. We are filling backpacks for Backpacks for the Homeless . We need donations if possible. Come on by and say hi. If you can bring items that we need to fill backpacks. Shaving cream,razors,scarf,gloves, shampoo, Underarm..I will post a list with all the essential needed.

Only a few days help, let's give it one last push! If you don't have the time to do the shopping, pleas go to www.backpacksforhomeless.ca and make a donation ans we'll use that to fill as many backpacks with the essentials as we can and deliver them for Christmas. Thank you for your help.

We are thrilled to share some incredible news regarding our Backpacks for the Homeless campaign! 🎒 Thanks to your generosity and support, we have raised an outstanding $10,100 so far! 🙌 This means we're well on our way to making a significant impact in the lives of those experiencing homelessness.

But the good news doesn't stop there! Over 400 backpacks have made their way into the community to be filled, becoming vessels of hope and essentials for those who need it most. 🌈 Better yet, we've already received 125 backpacks back, filled to the brim with love and essentials, ready to be delivered to those who need them.

We couldn't have achieved this without YOUR help, and we're incredibly grateful for each and every one of you who has contributed to this cause.
