🍁 Happy Labour Day! 🍁

While most of the world celebrates this public holiday in May, Canada 🇨🇦 marks this special day every first Monday of September and shares it with the United States. Apart from celebrating workers’ rights 💪, Labour Day is also the last long weekend of the summer 😎, marking the unofficial end of the season.

VGC is closed today and will reopen tomorrow, September 3rd. Enjoy the extra day off!

Khing shares her experience of studying abroad in Vancouver with VGC. Though her trip was a last-minute decision, she found it incredibly rewarding. 🌟 She highlights the supportive teachers 👩‍🏫, engaging debate classes 🗣️, and the opportunity to make friends from around the world 🌍.

“Hello! My name is Yana from Bangkok, Thailand and this is my first study abroad trip ever. To be honest, it was a last-minute plan so I didn’t have enough time to choose which education agency to be in, eventually I ended up in VGC. But it turned out pretty fun studying here. Teachers are very supportive; they go through the questions we have and they make the class not boring at all! I was in the debate class and it was very exciting every time I shared opinions with my classmates, I really enjoyed it! Also, I made a lot of new friends from many countries during the activities within the class.

Me and my friends spent time together practicing English and traveling to many places. Including the activities that VGC hold for the students. Every time we go out as a group, we meet some new friends which is the best part to share stories with them.

The reason why I choose to come to Vancouver because of it is famous for natural beauty and since it is summer there are many festivals coming up. I did go to many places even though I have only one month, and you know what my most favorite place is Stanley Park. If you are interested in nature and cultural diversity, come here and you won’t regret!

I really enjoy my time here even though it just for one month I did learn a lot of things. I will be missing every moment I spent here.”

We visited English Bay at the iconic A-maze-ing Laughter sculpture in Vancouver!🫶🇨🇦Exploring Vancouver's art and beauty together made this experience unforgettable! ✨🥰

𝓐-𝓶𝓪𝔃𝓮-𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓛𝓪𝓾𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓮𝓻 is a 2009 bronze sculpture by Yue Minjun, located in Morton Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The happy faces are stylized caricatures of the artist himself. It is a collection of larger than life statues that are laughing and making funny gestures with their hands.✨🍁
