More than just a gym 🤩
180 minutes of exercise was a big success! Thanks to everyone who participated - overall we raised a whopping £466 for our charitable work!
The morning began with all around good energy and camaraderie as everyone was excited to get going. After a very intense but fun 180 minutes, everyone headed to The Bath Cider House for a well earned drink.
Thank you again for celebrating 180 of YMCA impact in such a fun and energising way and thank you for being a part of our YMCA Brunel Group community!

Boxing is excellent for stress relief to have an outlet where you can focus and manage anger and channel it positively, increase overall cardiovascular fitness and build the skill of throwing a punch.
Walking has many benefits including increases bone strength, reducing fat and boosts endurance.

The many benefits of Kettlebells include -
The unilateral loading that kettlebells offer, and the balance/stabilisation you develop as a result, has awesome carry-over for sports.
Due to the fact that one is likely not using kettlebells for One Rep Max type lifts, you can do tons of volume, which is also great cardio at the same time as you're working muscles. While simultaneously not being as impactful on recovery.
The movement patterns of kettlebell exercises require coordination that is unique to the kettlebell, due to the handle and weight distribution.
Especially if one needed to handle unconventionally balanced or shaped loads. Rotational movement, for example, is something that is more commonly found in kettlebell exercises, as opposed to barbell ones.
