Let’s hear it for Miss Slinky 2022... Verity Trueman 🤩! After not recognising herself in photographs and finding herself in tears, Verity joined her local Slimming World group in Chipping Campden in January 2019. Fast forward to today and she’s lost an incredible 6st 👏!

📣'Twas the week after. Christmas and all through the house
Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.
The goodies I'd nibble, the Prosecco I'd taste
All the gatherings and parties had gone to my waist
When I got on my scales, there arose such a number!
When I walked to the shops ( less a walk, more a lumber).
🤔I'd remember the marvellous meals I'd prepared;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared...
The wine and the puddings, the crackers and the cheese
and the way I'd never said, " No thank you, please"
As I dress myself in my old baggy shirt
and prepared once again to try and do up my skirt
I said to myself ( as no one else dare!)
🥰" Go back to slimming world you know there, they care"
So.... away went the last of the sour cream dip,
I got rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip
Every last bit of food that is bad was banished
'Till all those additional pounds have vanished
I'm back on plan and counting my syns
Drinking more water and a lot less gins!!!!
