The Rider Refiner - EquiPilates, Rider Fitness and Therapy is coming to Ryders Farm Equestrian Centre this July 2024!
🧘♀️ Equi-Pilates
Mondays starting 1st July: 6.30pm - 7.30pm
Fridays starting 5th July: 1pm - 2pm
4-Week Course of Equi-Pilates for £40
These classes are designed to improve flexibility, rider strength, posture on and off the horse and co-ordination and balance. Pilates exercises aim to strengthen the body in an even way, placing emphasis on core strength to improving fitness and well-being. As riders, developing your core connection is invaluable, allowing you to develop a much stronger, supple, balanced and co-ordinates position in the saddle.
In Equi-Pilates sessions, we will undertake various exercises to understand correct alignment and position in the saddle, as well as improving flexibility, fitness and identifying any imbalances we may have.

Fridays starting 5th July: 9.30am, 10.30am, 11.30am
Introductory price of £50/session through July!
The 1:1 Sports Massage & Exercise Therapy sessions are bespoke to your needs and goals. Sessions are designed for all level of riders and athletes, looking to gain knowledge and confidence in their exercise. Suitable for regular fitness or rehabilitation for injuries and recovery.
Your initial session is where your problems/injury/goals will be fully assessed to provide the optimum treatment and plan. Following your first session, a future plan and bookings can be arranged based on your needs.
💪 Outdoor Fitness Bootcamp
Mondays 4.30pm & 5.30pm
Book as a block of 4 sessions for £25 or £8 per class
A horse rider needs to be physically fit to do their job well. A tired rider becomes an unbalanced rider. As you tire, your ability to maintain your posture and balance in the saddle is decreased, along with your reaction rates, which means your horse must constantly adjust his movement and balance to compensate.
Join our fun, friendly fitness class! Open to riders and non-riders. Outdoor fitness in supportive groups.

Even when I'm cleaning The Rider Refiner Studio, I'm always thinking about using both sides of my body.
When we work our horses we always make sure we work them Evenly on both sides, so Why not think about it yourself, while doing everyday stuff. Get your non dominant side working too. 💪

Happy Thursday, while I wait for clients this morning, though id had a breakfast date watching the beautiful Rory enjoy Munching the spring grass.
How nice is it to see naked horses enjoying there time out. Hopfully summer is on it way 👐
Happy Monday everyone!! Throwback to an oldie but a goodie here!! For those who haven’t seen it before, have a look at my top five tips for riders, let’s get those summer goals into focus 💪🏻
What has your saddle fitter got to say about your saddle.?
When I teach on horse posture & alignment there a few questions I always ask
1. Is there any injuries to the rider that can effect your postion?
2. Has your horse any injuries that can effect there posture or movement
3. When the last time you had your saddle checked.
4. Do you do any off horse exercises to help you as I rider.
Its really important to find out background information from rider's so I can get a picture of plans to put together to help both horse and rider in our sessions.
While our amazing saddle fitter has been checking saddles at our yard Depending on what she finds from the saddle she will always ask the rider different questions too. Like do you do pilates to help balance the rider out.
If the rider isn't balanced, neither is the horse or saddle.
Over the past few week, clarie our saddle fitter been has been at our yard.
She ask been pasting people on to me to to help with balance, posture, alignment
It been lovely to work together along side Professional people to help rider's and horse to Connect a better harmony together.
I will be holding a off horse workshop on the 8th of June.
Remember working on Yourself as a rider is just as important as working on your horse 🤸♂️
