This session will increase your knowledge and understanding of cancer, the importance of cancer screening and how screening protects and saves lives. This training will equip people with the skills to promote positive health messages about cancer screening that they can share with family, friends and the wider community.

Adab – One Community One Bury ADAB in Arabic and Urdu has several meanings – Honour, good character and behaviour, good manners, courtesy, an expression of respect, hope and goodwill.

ADAB Centre presents on Monday 27th February - Mental Health Counselling Skills Workshop at Mosses Centre, Edward Street, Bury, BL9 0RZ.

This event is available for anyone but is ideal for primary and secondary care workers and all voluntary sector (VSE). The event is at 9:30AM - 2:30PM (refreshments and lunch provided). £35 for paid staff and £20 for volunteers entry fee (all cards accepted).

Workshop Details:
The workshop includes a vast activity list from using counselling skills designed to the workshop being equivalent to Level 2 with therapeutic counselling skills training which will include listening skills training incorporated.
This training touches upon personal centred model by Carl Rogers and is an interactive workshop with time to practice the skills being taught.

Trainer: Ansa E Ahmed [BA (hons),SUPV, Bacp.reg, DipL4]
She is a consultant, trainer, supervisor and counsellor, with nearly 20 years of experience in mental health.
