Here is something quite unexpected. When we first opened the shop and for a few years after you could expect to come in here and find multiple interesting releases from Brouwerij De Molen at any one time. We loved them, you loved them but things eventually changed at the brewery and they gradually disappeared from our shelves.
Just recently though, some cases of the original 330ml bottling of Bommen & Granaten were unearthed. These are 12 years old but don’t let that put you off, they were given an enjoy within 25 years date when they were bottled! A fairly unique opportunity to try some aged beers from an old favourite!

Four new farmhouse style beers from Burning Sky here this week -

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Petite Pêche - a special edition of their classic barrel aged Petite. This rustic beer has been rested on second wash peaches for a light, refreshing and slightly tart fruit beer (3.5% ABV) 440ml cans

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Saison Printemps - blended with barrel aged beer then dry hopped (4.2% ABV) 440ml cans

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Le Cœur de Provision - a lighter version of their flagship saison (5.2% ABV) 440ml cans

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 From the Farm - collaboration farmhouse with Wildflower Brewing and Blending. Hopped with Motueka. Mixed culture were used for both breweries to ferment the beer (5.4% ABV) 440ml cans

Something a bit special from The Netherlands here this week. Three releases from Tommie Sjef available here now -

🇳🇱 Oud Bruin - a blend of fresh and aged Flemish brown ale. 60% of the blend was aged for over 1.5 years in a red wine foudre and then for another year in Bordeaux wine barriques. They also blended in some bourbon barrel aged brown ale to give the blend a hint of American oak (7.2% ABV) 750ml bottles

🇳🇱 Silhouet - a special blend of wild ales aged for 2 to 5 years in oak barrels, and a rustic saison. 5 year old Hallertau Mittelfruh hops were used (8.2% ABV) 750ml bottles

🇳🇱 Victoria - a blend of wild ales (aged from 1 up to 4 years) with organic plums (7% ABV) 750ml bottles
