We are hiring :) Looking for a part time team member, 2/3 days a week which includes weekends. Working in the cafe and hosting parties, there will be some solo shifts so only suitable for over 18’s I’m afraid. Christmas Holidays 🌲 I’m off for my annual 2 weeks holiday! Out last day open as normal will be Thursday 21st, then we will have little Christmas party on Friday morning which is available to book now on the website. Then back open Monday 8th January. Our workshop is a sanctuary where you can escape the chaos, connect with like-minded mums, and gain invaluable insights into mastering the art of motherhood. New blocks of From Acorn To Oak With Love classes starting next week :) Still a couple of spaces left for both, come and join us for these lovely sessions x

New Class 🚨 We will now be hosting From Acorn to Oak With Love’s Level One Bond with Baby class on Mondays. This class is a gentle blend of baby massage, baby yoga and baby sign. A perfect follow on from baby massage and suitable from 12 week till pre-mobile (3-9 months). Mondays at 10am starting from The 28th of September. Booking info on the website :) x

New evening class ⭐️ Parents-to-be, grandparents-to-be, aunts and uncles/to-be, join textile designer Jeni Allison to create a mobile for your nursery at Joy Tots.
Over the course of two evening sessions you'll make your mobile out of felt using reverse appliqué and simple
embroidery stitches.
The class will run over two Wednesdays in August:
Wednesday 23rd August 6.30pm-8pm
Wednesday 30th August 6.30pm-8pm
This class is subject to a minimum enrolment so please book early to avoid cancellation. Bookings through Joy Tots website :)

Summer holiday ☀️ I will be taking a weeks summer break with my little ones Monday 24th July till 28th, so we will be back open on Monday 31st 😊 # # #

Baby Massage is back 🎉 We are delighted to welcome Caro Graham as our new baby massage teacher at Joy Tots. Caro is a baby massage teacher with FATOWL LTD, a well known and highly regarded local baby and toddler class provider. I also did my baby massage classes with Lesley who runs FATOWL so very happy they were able to run a class here for us :) Caro is also a baby sleep consultant and can guide you with any issues you may be having with your baby's sleep. The first 5 week block starts on Thursday 17th August at 10am. To book this relaxing and intimate class please go to the FATOWL booking page or find the link on the Joy Tots website :)

Father’s Day card making is back :) Available anytime during opening hours, we are here to help you get a perfect(ish) print and assemble if needed. Also if you have any ideas for a card we don’t have then come let us know and we will see what we can do :) x

Sing and Sign - Monthly Taster Classes :) Did you know we host monthly introduction to sing and sign classes at Joy Tots on the last Tuesday of the month, these are aimed as and introduction but also a drop in for sing and sign fans :) Perfect for babies 5-14 months.
Upcoming classes Tue 25th April, Tue 30th May, Tue 27th June all at 10am.

This week we are saying goodbye and a huge thank you to the lovely Anne who has been teaching the baby massage classes at Joy Tots for the last 6 years (I think, don’t quote me on that!) She is taking a bit of a break for health reasons and so I’m sure all the parents who have attended over the years will join me in wishing her all the best 💜 This does unfortunately mean for now we won’t be running any baby massage classes. X

I'm excited to be back to Joy Tots tomorrow for our monthly "Introduction to baby signing" class.

This is a great venue - come to class and then linger for a coffee afterwards in the sunny cafe with cosy baby play space.

You'll learn:
✅ how signs can help your child understand you.
✅ how best to use signs and gestures to encourage your baby to communicate with signs AND encourage speech.
✅some basic signs to get started with at home
✅ some fun songs and games which support communication and language development.

Ideal for babies 5-14m (but younger babies welcome and toddlers up to 23m)

1 YEAR! Since I reopened Joy Tots :) 🎉
I have learnt a lot but still mostly feel like I don’t know anything, but maybe thats what’s running a business on your own is like!
What I do know is it feels like home and I have the loveliest customers and friends :) It’s been an absolute pleasure watching your little ones grow and meeting you all so a huge thank you to everyone that has visited and here’s to hopefully many more years. Isla x
