Folkestone Cleanup

After the wonderful air show and some lovely family time, time to reflect on today’s litter pick!

Whilst there wasn’t a large turnout (limited to myself and Mike Hamilton) I quite enjoyed myself. In total we had collected approximately 5/6 full Veolia bags.

Walked from the meeting place at sunny sands all the way to the (horrid) construction project at the stony beach collecting plenty of litter!

Just under 2 hours until our first meet-up! I have 10 LitterPicks just in case we dont get huge numbers.

I highly recommend bringing gardening gloves to pick up bulky bits!

It’s estimated that every single day in the UK approximately 2 million pieces of litter is dropped, over 365 days that is 730,000,000 pieces of litter dropped each year in the UK alone, on top of this.
