A selection of Stravaigin photos from the lovely Louise ❤️

First spied my love Martin in hairdresser Tommy Civita ( now Strav main bar )when he was in chatting John Comerford . Met properly in Stravaigin and shared our first kiss in the doorway - classy 😂

A photo of some of the old crew : birthdays ,Christmases , book groups ,bad news , good news, catch ups and just meeting for a pint.

Stravaigin always the first choice!

Been a regular for a long, long time!

Best staff, best bar, best of times ❤️❤️❤️

Another wee Strav story by the absolute legend Steve💓

“ I was living in Brussels for a few years, where my daughter Esmé was born. There I met and became friends with Martin Connelly through a shared love of football and music. We both returned to live in Glasgow around the same time.

With young kids in tow, our drinking nights were limited, however, Sunday was a popular one. Martin immediately introduced me to his friend since schooldays in East Kilbride. This was John Comerford, of the then hairdressers next door to the old single block Strav. Very soon the three of us became regulars together in the pub.

Of course, Strav expanded and John crossed the road to Alice Rocks. Twenty three years later you can still find the three of us in Strav. I met my partner Lisa there in 2010 and now Esmé works there, as both waitress and (literally) the poster girl of the establishment. People have come and go but Stravaigin remains the same. Pint of Neck Oil please”

Adriana and Alan have been friends of Stravaigin for the last 22 years! 💓

They have fond memories of dining at the spaghetti factory in the late 80s with the checkered table clothes, lion in the corner and big twirly spaghetti like hand bannisters going down the stairs.

We have had the joy to celebrate their 40th Ruby anniversary in our cellar restaurant ❤️

“Stravaigin is our favourite place to celebrate and a place where we feel comfortable in” - Adriana

To many of us Stravaigin is like a home away from home!
