You’ve probably been going around Glasgow, and perhaps the Nourish Café around the University of Strathclyde campus, wondering what the little bright card, with an octopus was. But you’ve never had the chance to research it. Or maybe you do have a card, and know of the benefits?
Either way, why don’t you come along to the third event, organised by the Strathclyde Entrepreneurial Series 2018, and meet the COO and co-founder of Swipii, Louis Schena.
Swipii was founded in 2014, by Louis Schena and Chitresh Sharma, from France and India respectively. They met when pursuing their MSc in International Marketing at the University of Strathclyde. During their year of study, they came up with the idea of an iPad-based CRM and marketing platform for independent retailers.
Swipii aims to give small business owners the power of big brand customer loyalty and automated marketing platforms at an affordable cost whilst allowing consumers who join the loyalty scheme to access a diverse range of awards unique to each merchant. Within the first few months, thousands of customers signed up and 45 local merchants bought into the program.
What happened next? How did they grow from being this baby octopus to become the UK’s largest customer loyalty and marketing platform for small business owners? Why don’t you join us at the Strathclyde Entrepreneurial Series to hear from the co – founder Louis himself on how much their business has grown over the past 4 years.
We look forward to have you at this event, please register on eventbrite to secure your FREE space!

Entrepreneurs Chitresh Sharma and Louis Schena former Strathclyde Business School students have been challenging the status quo with their market-leading loyalty program platform fuelled by marketing activities, Swipii.
Both being international students from India and France respectively, started developing Swipii as a loyalty platform for nightclubs, before realising that clubs and pubs already incentivised entry and repeat business. It didn’t take long for them to realise their technology could be applied to brick-and-mortar businesses, where stores were operating decades behind online retailers.
Since then, they have taken part in competitions and received a number of awards in recognition of their work. Form being identified as ‘Best New Venture 2014’ to being identified as ‘One of the 5 Scottish Tech firms to Watch Out for in 2017’
Impressively, Chitresh and Louis found themselves on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in 2017, a testament to their success in the Scottish disruptive tech start-up community. With their momentum taking them further and further from where it began, the good ship Swipii has never looked to be in better shape for setting sail in uncharted seas.
Come along and have a conversation over free donuts with the co-founder “Louis Schena” on March 7 in The Strathclyde Business School at @12:00 : bit.ly/SwipiiSE18

Which leads to another problem 2...
2) If you don't collect your customers data, how can you follow up with your customers to bring them back more often and prevent them going to the competition?
