Kerith Counselling Service seeks a qualified counsellor with management experience. This post will provide a job-share role for a 12- month period to cover maternity leave. This role offers an exciting opportunity to experience management of a busy counselling service. Kerith has operated within East Kilbride for over 20 years and enjoys a positive reputation within the local area and beyond.

The organisation delivers a professional, affordable service to clients over the age of 18 years, 4 days per week, Monday-Thursday. A face to face and on-line provision is available within East Kilbride and beyond. The candidate’s contract will be management only and will not include a case load. We will expect the candidate to share our vision to provide a high-quality affordable service within the ethos and values of Kerith Counselling Service.

📣 JOIN OUR NEXT CPD TRAINING DAY 📣

We love working on our self development at Kerith and we are delighted to announce our next CPD training day focussing on Relationships will run next Saturday 10th June with Alison Gallacher. 👏

This workshop will look areas that impact our relationships such as communication, language, messenger & receiver, our defence mechanisms and the impact of our unmet needs.

This workshop will focus on three main areas:
1️⃣ Relationships in the workplace: Helping clients to understand the difference between assertive and aggressive approaches. The importance of setting boundaries.

2️⃣ Family Relationships: Understanding the changing roles within the family, having a voice and the need for safety.

3️⃣ Romantic Relationships: The Relationship - what’s in the relational space. We have the ability to cleanse or pollute the relational space. We will discuss ways to recover the relationship through various techniques.

❓Who is this workshop aimed at?
This workshop is aimed at experienced counsellors to help them understand how relationships impact their clients.

❓Why should you attend?
Relationships can be rewarding and demanding. Our clients will be involved in a variety of roles whether in the workplace, friendships, family or romantic. Our clients can present with a variety of difficulties that they face in terms of their relationships. This workshop is intended to help counsellors work with the dynamics that are involved in relationships.

❓ About the Facilitator - Alison Gallacher
I am an accredited counsellor and supervisor. I am trained in Integrative Counselling using Person-Centred, CBT and Psycho dynamic approaches. I have my own private counselling practice based in Glasgow. I am a trainer for Greenwood Events and enjoy supporting other counsellors.

Kerith Counselling Kerith Counselling was established in 2001 and is available to everyone aged 18 and over.

At The Greenbank Rooms, we have a number of registered and qualified professionals providing wellbeing services. Meet Alison Gallacher who is an Accredited Counsellor with COSCA and works within COSCA’s ethical framework. She is trained in Integrative Counselling using Person-Centred, CBT and Psychodynamic approaches. She has her own private counselling practice, Ascension Counselling, based in the Southside of Glasgow. Alison has experience of working with individuals and with couples. She has a wide range of experience of helping clients with issues such as anxiety, stress, depression, loss and bereavement and relationship issues. She can help you to look at some of the reasons for negative thinking patterns or addictive behaviours. She also has a lot of experience of helping clients work through anger issues. Alison is a trainer and has run workshops to help other counsellors build their private practice. She has also undergone training in supervision and has been awarded the COSCA Counselling Supervision Certificate.
