Thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas Cracker event on Tuesday or sent money in for the secret shop. We raised a phenomenal £2085.15 for our children 👏
Special thanks to our amazing PTFA and all the staff that helped to make the day happen 🥰
On Monday the 4th December, our Sibling Support group went on a Christmas trip to the Made by Me pottery painting studio. The children all had a wonderful time and we are excited to see how their designs turn out.
Today, we were lucky enough to have a visit from The Royal Marine Band! They travel all around the world to play at important events, including the Queen’s funeral and the King’s Coronation! They inspired lots of our children and staff and brought the whole school into the festive spirit with their amazing Christmas performances 🎅
A lovely end to the week with our Anti-bullying themed team morning. All the children worked together, year 1-6, in their house teams for the first time this year. It was lovely watching all the different ages learning and engaging together 🥰 At the end of the session each team had created a new display in the school teaching everyone how to be kind ❤️

Dig out your neon socks, custard scarf and banana hat - let's stand out and show up for young people's mental health.
We can all struggle with how we’re feeling, but sometimes things get tough and it can be difficult to cope. For so many young people, when this happens, they don’t get the help they need, when they need it.
No young person should feel alone with their mental health.
But together, we can change this. By wearing yellow on World Mental Health Day (10 October), and donating what you can, you can show young people that you’re with them. Show them that they matter and deserve the support they need, when they need it, no matter what.
Join thousands of individuals, schools and communities across the country to stand out and show up for young people’s mental health this .
This small act can make a big difference for millions of young people across the county.
We are asking for any cash donation on the day to wear something yellow and give support to this fundraising project.
Many thanks
Well done to our new Eco Team who applied for the positions and were successful 👏 They delivered a brilliant whole school assembly yesterday all about how to save our environment and save water and electricity in our school. Thank you all for being so confident to speak in front of everyone 🥰
The children chosen for showing our school value of Active and Healthy at lunchtimes this week, enjoyed making the first Golden Lunch of the year on Friday.
This week the children peeled and chopped potatoes and carrots and some broccoli for their sausage and mash lunch, then had a delicious strawberry sundae for dessert. The children had a great time working both individually and as part of a team. Well done! 😄

What an exciting evening we have had at our Year 6 prom. Thank you to our wonderful PTFA for organising and leading the event 👏👏The year 6 children had a brilliant time and I learned some new dance moves from watching some of the children 🥰
What an amazing performance from year 6 this afternoon and this evening- so many hidden talents amongst you all 🥰 we feel so incredibly proud of each and every one of you and you certainly brought proud tears to our eyes today. Well done also to your dedicated year 6 teaching team 👏👏
Looking forward to saying a good farewell to you all tomorrow with your leaver’s assembly and then your Prom in the evening 🥰👏🥲
We won a prize for our Edible Garden in the ‘Gosport in Bloom’ competition that was judged last month 👏👏👏Mrs Williams and Mrs Landon took our Young Gardeners to the Town Hall to listen to the Mayor announce the winners this morning. They all got a Mayor Bear Badge for attending 🥰
Thank you to everyone who came to support our Sports Day today. Key stage 1 was successful and remained dry this morning. The children showed resilience and determination as they tackled all the activities 👏 well done also to all the parents who took part in the parent race 👏
Well done to our Key stage 2 children this afternoon, who persevered through the rain showers and nearly completed all the races before the rain meant an early finish (the microphone and sound system also had an early finish and stopped working in the rain, which meant we couldn’t bring everyone together at the end to announce the winners so apologies for this). The children will be given a chance to do their relay races next week and we will add the points to their overall scores. The winning house team will be announced in assembly next week. Thanks to Miss Hughes for organising the day and our Sports Leaders, who were outstanding in supporting key stage 1 this morning.
What an amazing afternoon at our Summer Fayre.
Thank you to the PTFA for supporting the school in organising and leading the event; thank you to all the staff for supporting with stalls and creating great performances from our children and thank you to all the parents/carers who came along and helped to raise money for our school 🙌
Well to to our cake winners as shown below 👏thank you for everyone who entered a cake 🎂
We will let you know how much we raised soon.
Have a lovely weekend everyone 🥰
We are very excited for our ‘Mad Hatter’ themed summer Fayre tomorrow. Gates open at 1.15 and stalls close at 4pm. Children are invited to wear bright clothes or Alice In Wonderland themed clothes. We have had some amazing cake entries in today, thanks you. There is still time to bring in your entries tomorrow. Once judged, all cakes will be sold at the Fayre on the refreshments table.
Thank you to all our new EYFS parents who came along to our coffee morning today. It was lovely to welcome so many new families into our community 🥰

Please find attached photos from the final C A R E workshop for our Year 5's at Holbrook this week.
This week, using two apples, we demonstrated how our words can have an effect on others (even after we have said sorry), identified five positive things about ourselves and gave our classmates a boost by giving them compliments.
The children have really enjoyed taking part in these workshops and have learnt new ways to help them to be resilient and cope with uncomfortable emotions. Well done! 😄
Thank you very much for all your sweetie donations today- we will have a huge sweet tombola at the Summer Fayre 🥰
Penguins 2 topic book is Supertato.
Today we followed instructions to make our own character . The children were delighted with their creations.
Reminder: Non school uniform tomorrow in exchange for sweets for the summer fair tombola.
Thanks 😊
Today for Golden Lunch the children learned how to make potato wedges from scratch, chopped vegetables for a salad and made their own individual pizzas before having a raspberry ice cream sundae for dessert. Well done to those children chosen by the dinner staff for being Active and Healthy’ over lunchtimes 😄
Our Year 4 children had a lovely time at the camp-out last night. We enjoyed a range of activities, a fish and chip dinner, bonfire, hot chocolate and s’mores. They were very resilient and brave for spending the night in a tent away from home. Thank you to all the staff who stayed to make the experience happen. 🏕️
This week Year 2 have finished off their STEAM learning in style. They started off the week by making their final bridges and testing them out to see if they were successful. On Tuesday morning, the children took part in two workshops at Bridgemary Secondary school, creating a collagraph for printing and using different textures to make clay bricks to create a collaborative structure. To bring the project to a close, we had a celebration assembly and the children enjoyed receiving certificates and prizes for showing our learning values. Well done Year 2 for fantastic few weeks of STEAM learning!!
