The friends of Bay house are hoping to make plans for the future and get back together as soon as we can.
We would like to continue to offer our support to the school in any way we can and we are now beginning to make plans for a return.

Here are some of the items bought for the students from the proceeds of all our fund raising for the year 2019/20

1. Model united nations support for weekly club and to enable students to attend a national conference in London and represent Bay House School - £300

2. Netball posts to replace broken - £200

3. Wood turning lathe chuck - £175

4. New table tennis table - £250

5. Cookery club for improving catering skills - £300

6. Stimming toys for special needs - £50

7. Costumes for drama - £100

8. 3D Printer for students to learn CAD software - £155.98

9. A new safeguarding display to raise awareness - £100

10 . Books and craft materials to support pupils who have suffered a bereavement - £150

11. New LED Lighting for music dept - £250

12. Geography - 5 x mini vane thermo anemometer - £71.99

13. Materials to create a seating area in the library

This is what all the cups of tea and snacks bought at parents evenings pay for plus all the profit from the QUIZ nights

The Friends of Bay House are having their regular meeting on March the 11th at 7pm in the school meeting room so if you fancy joining us feel free to swing by 😉

Hi everyone ,apologies but the profit for the quiz night is actually £1061.88 after all the food and expenses are taken off . The figure I posted on Saturday is the ticket money takings , sorry for any confusion it is still a brilliant outcome for the school and I will publish the list of items that will be bought for the various departments when the money is allocated later in the year.

Thanks everyone who came to the Quiz night we made an amazing £1317.50 profit for the school 🤩🥳😊

We are having the Quiz and Curry night on Friday the 28th of Feb !! Get your tickets from the school Finance Office 😋

We will be holding the Annual general Meeting on September the 18th at 7pm in the meeting room at school ALL PARENTS INVITED , there are positions vacant such as Vice Chair and we will be discussing the plans for the coming school year. We very much welcome new members to help keep The Friends of Bay house Alive and kicking !!😁

The Greatest Showman has had to be Postponed due to low ticket sales. BUT Never Fear a new show is planned for autumn 😀

Just a quick reminder that our AGM will be held next week, volunteers are required for various posts, can you help? :-)

​Friends of Bay House will be holding ​their AGM at 1900 on Wednesday 26 September in the meeting room by the main hall. Parents, staff and those who wish to see what Bay House friends do for the school are welcome to join us.

Posts of Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer are up for election and of course we are always looking for willing volunteers to help out in different ways. ​ ​C​ould​ you spare one evening or more a year to help out? All monies raised are used to purchase items of equipment to enhance the learning of our children. ​ ​In the past year we have bought the following items that the school is otherwise unable to provide:

​Lower school netball dresses,​ funding for cookery competitions, clinometers, quadrants, blenders, mini graters, D of E equipment, Environmental equipment, vocal training resources, virtual school club games, parenting books, pyrography sets and a wood turning chuck.

We can only manage to fund approximately 50% of the Departmental bid requests, so we welcome any other fund-raising ideas.​ ​We are a friendly team who look forward to seeing you!​​

HORSE RACING NIGHT CANCELLED.

Sadly, due to a lack of tickets sold we have reluctantly made the decision to cancel the Horse Racing Night on Friday 6 July. Thank you to Les Heyhoe for all your work you have put in for this night and to the few who have bought tickets.

CANCELLED Just over a week to go til the highlight of FOBH calendar, all you potential horse owners and budding jockeys need to get your tickets asap. Don't forget to bring your own drinks and snacks, no hay required, the horses will be fed prior to the racing 🐴 ;-)

EVENT CANCELLED

Tickets are on sale from the Finance Office £3 per person which includes a burger, hot dog or veggie burger. Extra burgers will be available to buy. Bring your own drink and nibbles. Get a group of you, form a syndicate, buy a horse and become a jockey. All proceeds go to FoBH. Bring friends, family, children and have a good night 🐴 🍷 🍻 If you are unable to get into school for tickets, please PM me and I will get them for you.

We have our next FOBH meeting on Wednesday 13th June in the meeting room by the crush Hall. Everyone is welcome to come along. Don't forget we are looking for a Secretary and Treasurer in September, good handovers will be given ;-)
