Preparing for Pregnancy 17/04/2024

WONDERING WHY YOU ARE NOT GETTING PREGNANT? 🙂

I’ve been working with women to boost fertility levels and support them through pregnancy for a good few years now. Over this time I have learned key areas that need addressed to ensure you are in the right place to conceive and have a healthy pregnancy.

🌱Regulate your Menstrual Cycle

Learning what is an optimal monthly bleed for your body allows you to pin point potential problem areas that may be a barrier to getting pregnant. Just because your symptoms are common and you have experienced them for years - this doesn’t mean they are optimal for conception and preparing your body for pregnancy.

🌱Optimise Ovulation
Do you know when you are ovulating? Are you aware of your fertile window and how to extend this? Recognising the different signs that tell you when your body is about to ovulate will help you conceive.

🌱Dig Deeper into Hormone Health

Being told your hormone levels are ‘normal’ does not mean they are optimal for conception and pregnancy. All too often Clinical ranges fall short of Optimal ranges and because your are unique, finding out what is right for you is key. Speak to your GP or go private to get up-to-date blood work for your hormones and the essential nutrient levels required for successful conception.

🌱 Improved Health = Improved Fertility
Your overall health in closely intertwined with your fertility. Making the right diet, lifestyle and supplement choices is crucial to boost fertility and the wellbeing of your unborn baby.

If you want to know more about each of these and different ways to support your health and boost your fertility levels, my 16 Ways to Boost your Fertility Naturally will help you identify different ways to support your fertility.

I’m so excited...after a busy weekend my mushroom logs are ready! This year I am creating a small mushroom farm. Well..some logs in my garden but I’ve got to start somewhere.

So far have planted Lion’s Main, Grey Oyster and Shiitake. Now just have to wait 9-12 months for them to fruit!

What a great idea...

I’ve started freezing avocado! I mash them up and I use a small cookie scoop. Then freeze! They don’t turn brown AT ALL and when they set up firm in a few hours I throw them in a gallon ziploc bag. I don’t add anything to them. No more nasty brown color or throwing expired ones away. I freeze about two bags at a time. They thaw beautifully too. Try it!

Hi,
Nearly 5 weeks back in clinic and I've settled into my new normal. Everyone is used to the additional procedures. Clinic looks a little bit different as I'm taking temperature and oxygen levels and using washable covers and a UVC lamp between patients.

All is running smoothly and I'm am happy with everything so have opened up more appointments.

Re-opening Clinic after the COVID-19 Lockdown

I am currently arranging for the necessary things to be in place to ensure patient safety when I re-open my clinic. This will be done in accordance with guidelines from the Government and my professional membership bodies: the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

I have completed a risk assessment and have made some changes to the clinic and my treatments. These include appointment times being spaced out to allow for additional cleaning between patients; and everyone is required to wear facemasks and wash or sanitise their hands on arrival. I have also chosen to implement some additional precautions including the use of an infrared thermometer, and am in the process of setting up contactless card payments for those who wish.

Initially, I will only be treating existing patients. These are patients for whom, by not having treatment, their condition will deteriorate and have chronic conditions that require continuity of treatment. This includes patients with high levels of mental and physical distress. Weekly appointments are limited. This will change after I have evaluated the new procedures, I am happy that I am giving the highest standard of care and it becomes possible to open up more appointments each week. I will post my date for re-opening when I can ensure safe treatments.

Contact me if you would like more information.

I’m looking forward to seeing you in clinic soon

Kind regards
Lucy

Hello,
As of Thursday 19th March all scheduled appointments have been postponed until further notice. I am also not taking on new patients. This will be until the Government advice on social distancing changes.

I am currently contacting all of my patients and speaking to them about continued and home care until their next appointment. This is to minimise any spread of COVID-19. We all need to do what we can. These are difficult times but we can all get through this if all we work together.

Stay well, positive and kind to each other,
Lucy x

16/03/2020

I am in clinic this week and have introduced additional cleaning and disinfecting procedures for patients who would like to keep their appointments.

While some patients have cancelled, I have advised others to reschedule and stay home.

Please take this time to stay well.
