“I am writing as I would like to thank Mr Haroon Mann (Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon) and his team for the tremendous treatment that I have been receiving since I fell and injured myself with a Lisfranc foot injury in August 2019.
On 24 August 2019 after a fall (in Wales) I was taken to The Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil where they diagnosed my injury. I was x-rayed, scanned and informed that I had a Lisfranc injury. I had my medical papers sent to the Royal Free Hospital in London, I was also informed by the trauma doctor that Mr Mann was the best in his field.
I would like to thank Mr Mann and his team for all my care which I am still undergoing. Since this date I have had five casts, numerous scans and x-rays. Mr Mann operated on me on 9 September 2019. I had a stay in hospital from 8 September to 11 September 2019 and my care from all of his team has been second to none.
I saw Mr Mann on 25 November 2019 and he told me to stop wearing my boot and to wear a shoe, he also walked with me to show me how to walk taking bigger strides. I have no scar and I am wearing a normal trainer.
I still have a way to go with my recovery but I wanted to let you know that I am very grateful to Mr Mann and his team.”
