Oakbridge College caters for young people from 16 plus with a range of disabilities including autism and complex learning difficulties.
They offer a two-year course to develop students' independence and life skills including 'World of Work' options.
They welcome all young people, families and other professionals who may benefit from attending this event to see this provision and have a chance to look around and find out more about this high-quality opportunity!

'Eachcounselling.org.uk' are offering FREE counselling service. EACH counselling and support are currently taking referrals for young girls and boys from the age of 11 and up to 18 years. The criteria is that they have either faced or witnessed domestic abuse, this can be in the present or past. Please contact us to be referred to the service.
Harrow Sendias are offering one to one sessions for children and young people struggling with their mental health. Sessions will be held online by our Wellbeing Officer and one session will be hosted at the Cedars Children Centre. For more information see the flyer below👇
Mencap are running a Supported Internship with Fair Shot, for young adults aged 18-25, who have a learning disability. The Supported Internship will give the chance to gain real life work experience through their hospitality training programme.
The last interview day will take place on the 31st of July at Fair Shot Cafe. ☕

Interested in Makaton Sign Language level-1 training? Kids Can Achieve are delivering workshops on Saturday 6th and 13th May, 10-2pm at KCA. There are 4 spaces left. This is an 8 hour course split in to two days to accommodate working parents or those who have commitments during the week. The workshop is free and certificates, manuals and resources are supplied.

We welcome the Government’s SEND and Alternative Provision Improvement Plan published last week and their commitment to delivering high-quality, early support to children and young people, however, a systemic and holistic approach is needed for this to be successful. We know first-hand through services like our SENDIAS, Autism, ADHD, and Behaviour Outreach Support Services the added pressure having a neurodiverse child has on both child and wider family outcomes, as well as the crucial difference early intervention can make.
The acknowledgment that we need a better system that builds capacity for children and families who need support is a positive step in the right direction however, a wide approach is required that doesn’t just focus on the education of the child, but on a complete approach for the whole family.
