Good morning everyone! We are so excited about Easter terms and we are making sure all the activities at Outside the Box will be educational, creative and fun!
I have just found this great game called 'feed the bunny'🐰and it requires only a paper bag and some imagination to create a cute little bunny.Basically, it can be used in 100 different ways.For early years you can ask children to feed the bunny with the right shapes🔷 or numbers🔢 or you can use with times tables, or even with spelling games. I found it very creative and entertaining, and I wanted to share it with you:)
If you have some fun, creative and educational ideas for children, we will be happy to hear from you.

Good morning everyone, I hope you are enjoying the lovely sunshine:)
We have been working on questions to encourage creative thinking in children. For instance, instead of asking 'what is that noise?' you can ask 'what would the noise look like if we tried to draw it?' or instead of 'how many snails can you see?' you can ask ' how can we make a playground for a snail to play in?'
Children love these questions and when I asked some 5 years old in the school where I used to work, they came back to me the following day begging me to ask them more questions!!!😍
We love sharing experiences and opinions and we would like to know from you: do you ask questions to get your child thinking creatively?🙂

Our half term programme begins this Monday and lasts till Friday from 8.45 to 15.30.
In the morning from 9.00 to 9:30 we start with storytelling to warm up the kids and allow them some relaxing time. After that it’s Maths games and activities. We will have a break from 10.30 to 11 and then English games/ activities until 12.00.
At 12.00 there will be 1 hour lunch break(you will need to provide your child with pack lunch, as we only provide snacks ,water and juices). During that hour the children can also play or read. We have a variety of books and games in our space .
In the afternoon we’ll introduce our workshops to the children.That means that the afternoon will be more creative and the subject will vary depending on the day. Our workshops include art,animation,philosophy for children, Spanish and Greek mythology.
The prices are £55per day or £250 for the whole week.
