King’s Banking & Finance Society is the largest banking society at King’s College London. We help you

King's Investment Banking Society aims to educate the King's community about the various career paths within the investment banking industry, thus increasing awareness and presence of the industry on campus. Our events will promote career opportunities and provide insight into specific divisions and the recruitment process, equipping members with key knowledge to pursue their career aspirations in the most competitive graduate job sector.

We are proud to announce King’s Banking & Finance Society’s new Partnership with AmplifyME, an educational enterprise produced by Amplify Trading, a company that trains interns before their experiences start at Financial Institutions - including Bulge Bracket Banks such as Morgan Stanley and Citi. We look forward to working with Mithesh Duddekunta and the rest of the team during this partnership.

This partnership will provide our members with:

King’s Banking and Finance Society is proud to announce a partnership with CFTE in their Global Fintech Internship Experience. We are looking to allocate a select amount of students from this society to participate in this internship experience. The internship experience will take place from 23 August - 27 August 2021.

Candidates must have an understanding and passion for finance and Fintech. If you are excited to understand the difference between challenger and traditional banks, why Open Banking is transforming business models, and how AI or blockchain is being used in finance, then this is for you.

We are looking for candidates who:

- Can demonstrate a clear interest in Fintech
- Have research, analytical, writing, and presentation skills
- Are aware of the newest developments and trends in FinTech
- Are comfortable in a fast moving environment
- Able to commit to the entire duration of the internship stated above

This is a 1-week Global Internship experience and is held remotely. It is open to university students or recent graduates in ANY discipline as long as they fit the description above. Registration is open to all students and operates on a first-come-first-serve basis but KBFS members will be given priority over non-members.

Hello everyone,

We are excited to announce that next Thursday 28th of January we will be hosting an event with David Aikman.

Mr. Aikman is a former Bank of England economist and also served on the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington DC from 2013 to 2015. He now heads the Qatar Centre of Global Banking and Finance.

Mr. Aikman will provide insights on the challenges central banks are facing and will face in the future, as well as the structural financial changes due to developments in FinTech and cryptocurrencies.
