Packing up a home is never just about the boxes and bubble wrap. As I prepare to move and sort through years of memories, I find myself transported by the photos, baby books, and cards that mark the journey of my life so far. It’s an odd mix of sadness, warmth, and a touch of regret. There are wedding photos from what was once a hopeful union, now colored by the bitterness of an acrimonious end. Photos of my children as babies, now young adults at 20 and 23, remind me of those long, tender years of parenting solo, of every struggle and every joy. And then, there are cards from my mother, whose words feel more poignant now that she’s gone.
I cry, because each item holds a world of memories, some painful and others deeply cherished. But I can’t help but feel wary of nostalgia. It’s as if, in looking back, we paint over certain moments with rose-tinted glasses, making them feel somehow more beautiful or poignant than they really were. Maybe that’s the trick of memory, to soothe us as we let go.
At 57, I’m trying to see the past clearly—not through a haze of nostalgia, but with honesty, taking the good and the bad. Moving forward is never easy, but it’s also freeing, like shedding layers to make space for something new. For now, I honor those memories, hold them for a moment, then set them gently aside, knowing my story isn’t finished yet. In fact it’s just starting!
The benefits of meditation and its connection to hypnotherapy 🕯️🤍
On Saturday I spent the day at a meditation course for letting go of anxiety
Here is what stuck with me:
The first thing that struck me was the community spirit and the kindness of both the staff and other attendees.
I was invited to sit in the front row directly in front of the Monk leading the talk and meditation.
The guided meditation was focussed around anxiety. I had been feeling anxious as I’m about to embark on a house move which as we know is stressful.
I found the whole thing very emotional and as part of the mediation a prayer of enlightenment was sung. I found both the words and the music resonated so much and the floodgates literally opened. Whatever had been stored came out in one go. I don’t think I realised how powerful it would be - the words, the music, and the energy in the room was palpable.
I left the day feeling 4 stones lighter - like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I would highly recommend this experience and strongly urge anyone interested to consider the sheer power of meditation for mental wellbeing, clarity, patience and emotional relief. Thank you .london
🌿 World Mental Health Day: A Reminder to Prioritize Your Wellbeing 🌿
Today, on , we recognize the importance of mental health in living a fulfilling life. In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to neglect the health of our mind, but just as we care for our bodies, our mental wellbeing deserves attention too.
As a Clinical Hypnotherapist, I work with individuals every day who struggle with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool that taps into the subconscious, helping to uncover and heal the root causes of emotional distress. It promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and allows you to reframe negative thoughts that may be holding you back.
Whether through therapy, mindfulness, or simple self-care practices, taking time for your mental health is crucial. Remember, there’s no shame in seeking help. Today is a great day to reflect, recharge, and reach out if you’re struggling.
Let’s use this day to start conversations about mental health and support each other in the journey to healing. 💚
You heard that right…
I am offering a course of 3 hypnotherapy sessions to 5 single mothers COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE.
As a Clinical Hypnotherapist, but more importantly, as a single mum for the past 10 years, I know firsthand the challenges you face every day. Like many of you, I’ve juggled the roles of mum, dad, therapist, chauffeur, banker, chef, cleaner, and everything in between, all while trying to support my two amazing children—emotionally, financially, and in every way imaginable. I understand the exhaustion, the endless responsibilities, and how easy it can be to forget about yourself in the process.
Being a single mum isn’t just about raising children; it’s about holding your family together on your own, and I know how overwhelming that can feel. If you’re struggling, please know you’re not alone. Your strength is remarkable, but even the strongest people deserve support.
That’s why I’m offering **3 free hypnotherapy sessions** to 5 single mums who could use some help right now. If you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or simply stretched too thin, I’d love to offer you a space to relax, heal, and focus on yourself.

Those who have experienced emotional abuse often struggle to put it into words. This, I feel gives some clarity. It’s often so insidious it’s impossible to explain and feelings and experiences are often invalidated. Who else has heard “ it doesn’t sound that bad” or “ why don’t you just leave?”
Please share if you feel this sums up your experience or to help others.
Some kind words from my lovely clients (initials are used to preserve client confidentiality).
