London based artist Louise Nordh creates artwork as a form of self expression and as a way to make sense of the world. Her fluid process allows for changes to occur as she places her figures within a painted world. Her work brilliantly contrasts the motion of unrestrained mark making with a more precise and considered approach.

Jayson Lilley pushes the limits of printmaking with his awe inspiring cityscapes and object based compositions. Combining the precision of screen printing with fluid painterly gestures and hand finished details, Jayson produces atmospheric and intimate portrayals of urban life. The use of culturally significant materials is the basis for Jayson’s object pieces; drawing his own creative vision of London onto the One Pound Note and disrupting the limited and economic world view of the monopoly board - giving shape, vibrancy and personality to places that have to be experienced to be known.

Launching next week is our first print with immersing painter Jothi Kanayalal - Spring Swirls 🌸

We’ll be celebrating the edition, which just so happens to coincide with our 1st birthday - with drinks and cake in the gallery on Thursday 22nd August, from 4pm-8pm.

There will be art activities inspired by the artist for the kids from 4pm-6pm followed by evening drinks with the artist until 8. Entry is completely free for all 🩷

Stars over the storm by Andrew J Millar ✨

Artist Andrew J Millar works almost exclusively with the portrait, pushing the limits of various print processes and photography. Fascinated by different print processes and photography techniques, Andrew has breathed new life into the beloved polaroid - manipulating its light sensitive qualities to create beautiful and disquieting representations. Andrew’s work brings to mind so many different things; classical iconography, heroines of the silver screen, and surreal landscapes.

This artwork started life as a Polaroid - with the untracked of his collage work being so detailed, Andrew has been able to enlarge the image to create the ultimate statement piece.
