Taking Lottie to the sealife centre was a great success 🐠
6 miles with Penny
Decided to take Penny out for a good long run so that she is nice and sleepy for the fireworks. I haven’t ran that far with Penny for a while we mostly do 2/3 miles so it was good to get her out for a longer run as well.

Half Marathon PB 🥳
Great race today, I went out with a goal of finishing under 2 hours so I’m really happy with getting 1:53:03 and a chip time of 1:54. Showing that the training is going well and I should hopefully be able to push sub 1:50 potentially at Norwich half at the end of November. Apart from the marathon it has been a really good year so far for my running setting 2 HM PBs a 10km PB and a 5KM PB as well, just need to sort out my marathon time now.

10 miles yesterday 6 miles today 🏃♂️
Yesterday was suppose to be 10 mile progressive run but after a few rough nights with Lottie last week I decided to take Penny out for 4.5 easy miles then another 5.5 miles by myself. Then today a nice easy 6 miles managed to mainly nasal breath for most of the which I was really happy with.

Busy week 🥵
Good 5.5 miles easy this morning meaning I’ve done just over 15 miles this week, thankfully it was deload week from running as I’ve done 6 spin classes and 2 strength sessions this week so my legs have taken a bit of a battering. I wanted to get another leg session in either today or tomorrow but I think I need the rest 😂 we go again on Monday.

Run Norwich
Race was going really well and I was in for a really good time until 50m from the finish when a lady collapsed in front of me. Myself and some other runners tried to help the lady up so she could finish but unfortunately she wasn’t able to so we stayed with her until the volunteers took over. I stopped for 5/6 minutes with her so my chip time was quite off my watch time but I couldn’t not stop and help. But as always Run Norwich is such a good tough race and the crowd was amazing
Big thank you to everyone that came out to support us especially on her birthday.
Chip time - 57:24
Watch time - 51:53 (second fastest 10k 🥳)

Great day finally celebrating the birth of Lottie with all the people that love her most
8 miles in the rain 🌧️
Had to get out early this morning before I had to go to work to teach spin. Teaching spin after a 8 mile run isn’t easy but we got through it. Week 2 of half marathon training done and the mileage is creeping up nicely, that’s the good thing about the they are tough but still achievable each week. Looking forward to hitting 20 miles next week.

Long run done ☑️
7.4 miles progressive, relatively hard session but not too bad. First week of half marathon training and it couldn’t have gone any better I’ve felt fresh and ready to go for every run so far.

First bike ride in a while but the weather is so nice I couldn’t resist getting out for a recovery 15 miles, my legs have felt really heavy this week so definitely need a rest day tomorrow ahead of Sunday’s long run.

4.5 miles easy today 🏃♂️
I thought coming back to the UK would mean I could enjoy some cooler weather to run in but it’s not that much cooler here than France 🤦♂️ but first session on the half marathon plan with was all good, looking forward to some harder sessions though.

10 miles in the bag and last run done of the holiday before we start the journey home tomorrow.
It was a really good run but it was very tough after 6 miles when I ran out of fluid. I should’ve taken more than 500ml considering how hot it was and how far I was going also. But I got the miles done that’s the most important thing.

Good session at this morning, nice little push session then a quick circuit to finish. Looking forward to getting back into a routine with weights when we are back from holiday but it’s also been nice to take a step back whilst we have been away.
Another 3 miles in the bag, only a few more days holidays left so will be nice to get a couple more runs in before we head home.

Fun little kayak along the river today and lucky and I didn’t fall in 😂 even if Eleanor’s steering was a little questionable at time 😂
8 easy miles today making sure I kept my heart rate below 150 even with all the rolling hills. It was great fun exploring somewhere different but the 2 mile climb at the start was very tough. Really looking forward to start getting some longer runs in when I’m home from holiday and really focusing on securing sub 2 hours in the half marathon finally.
