With Christmas around the corner and the new year approaching, why not start your 2020 health kick early and get ahead of the game.
Seated or standing we have the same 3 positions.
Position 1: Hands close to you. Chest more upright. When standing in the peddles, try to have as little weight going down through your hands as you can, try to keep the weight in your legs.
Position 2: Hands furthest from the body. Chest is down lower and the spine wants to be long. Keep your hips over your seat when standing.
Position 3: Elbows on the handle bars, hands narrow. The chest is low and this keeps the work in your legs most due to the lack of movement through the upper body. When standing keep the hips over the saddle, and your spine long... also in position 3, you’re streamline so you can go faster right 😘

Yes, Crossfit Kids is back! Starting in October, exact dates will be released shortly. We're excited that Matt Trice will be taking over these sessions on Saturdays Kids - 10:00am and Teens 11:00am

What do you take to your spin class to help you get through it? Some just like water, others an energy drink. Some use a bath towel to mop up the sweat, others use their own t shirt. Here’s what we recommend:
• A bottle of water (ideally not a single use plastic one).
• A sweat towel, to keep the sweat out of your eyes during class and to wipe down your bike after.
• Trainers with a thick sole to keep your feet well supported in the peddles.
• An energy drink if you’ve already worked out/you’re going to do a second work out after.
• A mega determination to work hard and sweat lots for 45 minutes!
• Enough presence of mind to know when to ask for help with your bike or to slow down if you need to.

The Studio at GAIN () has many uses. Yoga being one of them and 4 awesome walls to use for inversion practice. From the 9th of September we see the introduction of Spin classes. Before the year is out we have CrossFit Kids coming back to the studio with all new coach and all new class schedule.
