We received a lovely letter from Doreen, who attended DHSG in the 1940s during a challenging time in Plymouth's and the school's history.

She very kindly included a copy of a Speech Day Booklet from 1945 for our archives. It is fascinating to read the Headmistress's report, where she explains the challenges the school faced and thanks the students and members of the local community. There is also a document that appears to have signatures of the teachers at the school in 1945, including that of the headmistress, Miss Moore. Attached are some excerpts.

Thank you, Doreen, for sharing these wonderful memories!
