DaniMation UK
DaniMation UK is a Summer Workshop for young people aged 10-22 who are on the autism spectrum.
Attendees will be able to explore the exciting world of animation, writing, story-boarding, voice acting and more.
On Thursday July 11th 2024, where students had to finish their short animated film for the Friday's Student Showcase, DaniMation has welcomed DreamWorks Animator and Motion Effects Supervisor Erik Tillmans---who spoke about how he entered the animation industry and what he does as a motion graphics effects supervisor, followed by an open Q&A.

On the last day of our DaniMation Los Angeles 1-Week Animation Workshop at the Woman's Club of Hollywood on July 12th 2024, Voice Actors from the Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain, Maurice LaMarche and Rob Paulsen made a special appearance for the student showcase ceremony.
In addition, Comedian, Voice Actress, Television Producer, and mother of one of our students, Rosie O'Donnell had participated in a pre-ceremony voice acting skit along with these famous gentlemen.
A HUGE Thank You to Film Director, Filmmaker, and Producer Jennifer Mae for inviting LaMarche and Paulsen to speak at the Los Angeles Summer Animation Workshop!

I'm honored to announce that I've been selected to receive the prestigious GWEN LUMINARY AWARD for my dedication to animation production and advocacy for the autism community. Through our animation workshops, my company DaniMation has been instrumental in empowering individuals with autism to pursue their passion for animation as a career.

We are back in person since our first DaniMation UK in 2019 at the University of Plymouth! This video comes with a fun introduction with Dr. Suanne Gibson of University of Plymouth along with the DaniMation UK team!
For 1-week, we taught our students the basic of animation, and importance of created an animated microshort with Toon Boom Harmony incorporated on Wacom's Mobile Studio Pro Tablets! It was great to see our students bring their animations to life from concept to completion!
All copyright material including characters, recorded sounds, and
music are "fair use" only by all students who use and feature them in their Animated MicroShorts.
A Huge Thank You to Wacom for providing the Mobile Studio Tablets and Thank You to Toon Boom Animation for providing the software to make our animation camps possible!
Also thank you to Dr. Suanne Gibson and University of Plymouth for providing the space and to Anna Kennedy Online for scholarships to have our students attend our animation camp!

We are going to reveal our scholarships for our Autism Friendly Summer Animation Workshop in Plymouth and London!
Those applying can send a short video clip, no more than 1-minute of their child/young adult letting us know why they want to learn and take part in an animation course. It would be great to see some of the work the individuals have produced by paper or digital means.

The person who is successful will be contacted by Joe Westlake, Lead of DaniMation UK on Monday, 15th August for the Plymouth camp and Friday, 19th August for the London camp.
