Keep an eye on your blood sugar levels and work with your healthcare team to reduce risks. Remember, it’s not just about avoiding eye, heart, or kidney issues—it’s about feeling good every day.
Take small steps like setting health goals for yourself and talking with your doctor. Your efforts matter!

The feeling is unmatched, which is why it's essential to always check your blood sugar levels regularly.
In life, we often hesitate when faced with opportunities. We fear what might happen if we take a chance.
However, as Wayne Gretzky wisely said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” This means if we don’t even try, we’ve already lost.
This week, let’s think about the chances that have come our way or are still waiting for us. Some opportunities might have slipped by because we were too scared to grab them. But remember, you only miss out when you don’t take the opportunity in front of you.
What’s the worst that could happen if you take a chance? Maybe things won’t turn out exactly as you hoped. But every experience, whether a success or a lesson learned, adds to our growth.
There’s always something valuable to gain from each opportunity, even if it doesn’t lead to the outcome we expected.
So, this week, let’s challenge ourselves to embrace those opportunities. Don’t let fear hold you back. Take that step forward. Even if things don’t go perfectly, you’ll gain valuable insights and experiences along the way.
Have a fantastic week ahead, filled with courage and action. Remember, the only shots we regret are the ones we never take.

When it comes to managing diabetes or hypertension, I won’t promote herbs as a complete cure, despite hearing CLAIMS that they work perfectly.
While natural foods like fruits and vegetables are crucial for our health, I don’t recommend relying solely on them to treat these conditions.
It’s important to consult a clinician or specialist who can provide accurate advice tailored to managing diabetes or hypertension effectively.
Curious about how insulin resistance impacts your health?
Here’s a simple breakdown: When you eat, your body releases insulin to store sugar as fat. However, if your cells resist insulin, this process doesn’t work effectively.
As a result, you might experience feelings of fatigue and increased hunger. Understanding insulin and its role in your body can be crucial for managing your health effectively.
Franklin D. Roosevelt once wisely said, “The only limit to our realization of tomorrow is our doubts of today.” This statement holds a powerful truth about how self-doubt can hinder our dreams and goals.
Many of us wrestle with doubts—uncertainties about our abilities, fears of failure, or concerns about others’ opinions. These doubts act as barriers that can stop us from moving forward and achieving our full potential.
It’s crucial to confront these doubts head-on. By acknowledging and addressing them, we begin to break down the mental barriers they create. This might mean seeking support from others, learning new skills, or simply changing our mindset.
If left unchecked, doubts can grow into deeper fears and anxieties, further blocking our path to success. Instead of letting doubts control us, we should take charge and challenge them.
As we start each new week, let’s commit to reviewing and overcoming our doubts. Some may be unfounded, while others may require effort and guidance to overcome. By doing so, we empower ourselves to turn our dreams into reality.
Believe in your abilities and take proactive steps towards your goals. Embrace the potential within you and move forward with confidence. Wishing you a productive and successful week ahead!
Exercise is essential for managing diabetes! It boosts energy levels, improves cardiovascular health, helps with weight management, and enhances insulin sensitivity, leading to better blood sugar control.
Plus, it’s great for mood and sleep—promoting relaxation and releasing feel-good endorphins. Stay active to stay healthy and happy!

As we observe Diabetes Awareness Week, it's essential to reflect on how our words and attitudes can impact those living with diabetes.
During Diabetes Awareness Week and beyond, it's crucial to educate ourselves and others about diabetes.
Instead of making assumptions or insensitive remarks, let's erase the stigma by promoting awareness, empathy, and acceptance.
People living with diabetes already encounter numerous challenges, and these remarks worsen their pain, demonstrate dismissiveness, and continue misconceptions about the condition.
To continue raising awareness about diabetes, we, at Diabetes Consults, want to emphasize the importance of regular blood sugar checks. Monitoring blood sugar levels can help individuals at risk for diabetes and those with prediabetes manage the condition effectively.
Once you monitor your blood sugar level, you have the opportunity to make better lifestyle choices, such as being more active, maintaining a healthy weight, and following a nutritious diet.
Early detection through blood sugar monitoring can also prompt individuals to seek medical advice and intervention to prevent the progression to diabetes.
Did you know that diabetes is one of the top 10 reasons people pass away worldwide?
Also, according to the World Health Organization, over 422 million people had diabetes as of April 2021.
Pregnant women can develop gestational diabetes, and and many don’t realize they have it. Let’s raise awareness and work towards prevention.
Eating healthy, being active, and cutting back on soda not only help with diabetes but also keep you healthy overall.
During Diabetes Awareness Week, it's crucial to understand medications like Ozempic and Wegovy, which are gaining attention for weight losS.
Both contain semaglutide and have similar effects, but they're used differently. Ozempic is for type 2 diabetes and weight control, while Wegovy is solely for weight loss in people without diabetes.
Consult a healthcare professional to determine suitability based on factors like BMI and medical history. Remember, lifestyle changes are key alongside medication.
Ensure to obtain medications from trusted sources and seek clinical guidance before starting any new regimen. Let's use this week to raise awareness and promote informed choices in diabetes management.
This week, from June 10 to 16, we’re focusing on spreading awareness about diabetes.
We’re eager to share new information about this condition and help people understand it better. Stay tuned for updates throughout the week!
Renowned fitness expert Jack LaLanne once said,
“Your health account, your bank account, are pretty much the same thing. The more you put in it, the more you can take out of it.” This powerful statement highlights the importance of prioritizing our health just as we do our financial well-being.
In today’s world, where economic challenges abound, it’s easy to focus solely on building our bank accounts while neglecting our health. However, LaLanne reminds us that our health is a valuable asset that requires regular investment.
So, what exactly are we depositing into our health accounts? It’s not just about hitting the gym or eating well, although those are important too. It’s also about nurturing our minds, cultivating love, embracing laughter, and practicing self-care.
Think of each healthy choice you make as a deposit into your health account. Whether it’s choosing a nutritious meal over fast food, taking a walk to clear your mind, or spending quality time with loved ones, these actions accumulate over time to build a foundation of well-being.
Just as we strive to save money for the future, we must also invest in our health for the long term. The benefits may not always be immediately apparent, but when the time comes to withdraw from our health account, we’ll be grateful for the investments we made along the way.
Remember, health is true wealth. So, as you navigate through your week, don’t forget to allocate some time and effort towards your health account. By doing so, you’ll not only enhance your quality of life but also ensure a brighter, healthier future.

Hey there! You’ve probably heard of type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes, right? But there’s one more you might not know about – type 3c diabetes!
Type 3c diabetes happens when something goes wonky with your pancreas. This little organ is super important because it makes insulin, which keeps our blood sugar levels in check. If the pancreas isn’t doing its job right, blood sugar levels can spike.
Now, what can mess with the pancreas? Well, things like sudden inflammation (that’s acute pancreatitis), ongoing problems (called chronic pancreatitis), or even something serious like pancreatic cancer. Conditions like cystic fibrosis and hemochromatosis (too much iron in the blood) can also cause trouble.
Because type 3c diabetes is pretty rare, it often gets mistaken for type 2 diabetes, especially in elderly people.
But getting the right diagnosis is crucial, so doctors might do tests like ultrasounds or scans to figure out what’s up with the pancreas.
Treatment usually means taking insulin since the body can’t make enough on its own. Even though type 3c diabetes isn’t as famous as the other types, understanding it can make a big difference in how it’s managed and cared for.
