We are happy to announce that the society will be hosting Welsh Language Lessons every two weeks! Whether you are a first time learner, want to refresh the Welsh you learned at school, or are already fluent and want to practice it away from home, our Welsh language officers hope to help you learn and celebrate our language!

Sessions will be every other Tuesday in the Hicks building, room F38. See you there! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿📚

Shwmae! We're really thrilled to welcome all faces new and old back to our society for our very exciting, very first WelshSoc Pub Quiz! Those of you who have been with us from the very start will remember that we spent many nights at the Broomhill Tavern catching up over their quiz (and hoping that we would finally win that anagram round one day!), so to finally organise one of our own is an honour! Whether you've just discovered us at the start of this semester or you're already a member, it'd be lush if you joined us for a fun and very competitive night, see you there!

Record of the week is our new addition to Welsh Soc! Every week, we will provide a Welsh-language song and an English-language song from Wales, and a short depiction of the record’s history. Our aim with Record of the Week is to celebrate Welsh culture and the language, and encourage you to listen to something new to expand your music taste!

SOCIAL NEWYDD: COFFI A SGWRS

We’re very excited to announce our first sober social, and our second regular social of the year! We will be updating you with times for this social weekly. Feel free to drop in and bring snacks/work with you, we’re looking forward to getting to know you all over the course of the year!

The details of our next Rugby social are here, as well as a fascinating cultural connection shared between Wales and our opponents! We will have Raynor Lounge for most of the day so will be there to watch other games from the tournament as well as to catch up and play some pool!

Additionally, our Pub Quiz social will still be going ahead this Sunday! Check out our pinned post as the details remain the same!

We’ll be rounding off the group stage of our Rugby World Cup campaign with an early afternoon social! We have the Raynor Lounge booked from 2-4pm, so you should be able to find us in the main part of bar one if you get here early!

Following on from a very successful activities fair, we’re excited to announce our first proper social of this academic year! We’ll be watching the rugby World Cup at Bar One in the Students Union, and what a game to kick things off with! We’ll be getting there earlier to allow for new members and the committee to all properly meet, see you there!
