Join us for Day 4 of Enterprise Week: our BAME entrepreneurship day!
We're delighted to be joined by Bayile Adeoti, Founder of Dechomai to host a session on breaking down barriers and empowering BAME entrepreneurs. Bayile is a social entrepreneur and project manager with 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry in various roles in marketing, operations and consulting. She holds various Management and Leadership qualifications. Her experiences led her to start Dechomai in 2015; a social enterprise empowering Black and Minority Ethnic women with leadership and entrepreneurial skills so they can be financially independent. She has a passion for developing and coaching young black and ethnic minority women into leaders and change makers and serves on the Advisory Board of many BME businesses as well as being Vice President for the Scottish Women in Business, Young Enterprise Scotland Alumni Board member, Women’s Enterprise Scotland Ambassador

Join us for Day 3 of Enterprise Week: our Female Founders day! We're delighted to be joined by Zoi Kantounatou and Helena Murphy.
Zoi is a Co-Founder and CFO at FutureX, a learning and community platform that educates and upskills entrepreneurs who want to build better businesses. Over the past 10 years Zoi has worked across Scotland, India, Greece and Silicon Valley working together with more than 1,000 entrepreneurs. In Scotland, FutureX has delivered some of the biggest entrepreneurial conferences; Startup Summit & Impact Summit with hundreds of participants attending every year. Zoi is also a trained facilitator and coach and she has extensive experience in running personal development and leadership workshops and programmes around the world.
Helena Murphy is co-founder and Managing Partner of Raising Partners - the Glasgow-based investment firm guiding startups through each step of their fundraising process, and Raising Partners Angels - an angel syndicate that invests in companies making a positive impact on people, processes and the planet. After experiencing first-hand the dangers of poor advice when raising capital, Helena founded Raising Partners in 2017 to level the investment playing field and demystify the fundraising process. Since inception the firm has worked with over 175 companies and raised over £60 million in funding. Helena is also Alumna of the University of St Andrews.

We're delighted to be joined by tech entrepreneur, Jasper Platz. Jasper is a serial entrepreneur who has founded three companies across a range of industries from greentech to B2B software. Jasper earned an MA in Economics from University of St Andrews and an MBA from Chicago Booth.
Jasper will be discussing what it's like building a tech company including product development, identifying customer pain points, validating those problems, tech market size and how to establish yourself in the market. Jasper will also share his experience of raising finance - particularly for tech companies - and more generally, the process and how to establish the right time to do so.

Join us for the launch of Enterprise Week 2022 for our Keynote event with Hugh Chappell.
Hugh is a Serial Entrepreneur, Advisor and Angel Investor. Hugh has worked in the technology and publishing industries since 1976. In 1979 he joined Apple Computer in the UK when the personal computer industry was in its infancy. In 1985 he established Taxan in Europe. In an 18 year period at the helm, the business sold more than 5 million computer displays and graphics adaptors with turnover exceeding $100 million per annum. His personal goal to own and manage his own business was achieved in 2003 when he founded TrustedReviews.com. In 2005 he acquired bit-tech.net. Both digital publications became market leaders in their respective sectors. He sold TrustedReviews.com in October 2007 to Time Warner/IPC Media and bit-tech.net in October 2008 to Dennis Publishing. Hugh has since been involved with several start-ups as an angel investor and/or advisor. He also works with more established companies in non-executive roles using his considerable experience to provide advice and an independent voice on strategy, performance, risk and people.
He has invested in Centtrip (Fintech), Cloudshift Group (SalesForce Platinum Partner), JustPark (Parking), Lovestruck.com (Dating) and MyFirstUK (Young Driver Car Insurance) and Parkopedia.com (Parking). His non-executive Director roles include The LADbible Group, Time Out Group, Dennis Publishing and MyVoucherCodes. Hugh is also a Board Member E2Exchange.
