Our new sign of the week

All ready to embrace Summer Term 2 at TOG. Some of the activities we have out this week to settle the children back in, linked on what they know and enjoy. Then we will be on to enhancing with some themed activities as of next week.
Story for the next 2 weeks is Old Macdonald had a farm. Definitely a favourite here!

Our little creators have made their own marks to make fire pictures and nurses hats as we looked at people who help us in the month of April xx

Some of our most recent activities inside. We have had the very hungry caterpillar as our story this week and next, and we have been exploring vegetables using our senses and practicing our cutting skills!

Our sign of the week is currently share (also friend) We are also focusing on turn taking and sharing for our core skills so this also links into this 😊

For the next two weeks we are learning all about nurses and doctors! Our story is Polly had a dolly, where the children can all explore the different doctors equipment and have a go at dressing up!
We are also making nurses hats in the art area 👩‍⚕️ 👨‍⚕️

📣The Community Inclusion and Activity Team's Family Drop in Club at Mendip is on THIS SATURDAY! Come along to enjoy some inclusive activities with your family. The café will now be open to buy hot drinks and snacks, this will no longer be provided by the team😊

Common difficulties in the early years Exploring a range of difficulties children can experience.

A variety of gross and fine motor activities for the children to have a go with outside. Our Wendy house is a garden centre which will help develop the children’s communication skills through role play 🌱 🪴 🌷 The children are also beginning to build up confidence using the large climbing frame and slide.

Today Stuart from SASP bought in our new accreditation after completing our physical audit for the second time🙌👏🙌👏

This term we are learning all about people who help us, starting with the fire service and how they keep us safe. Our story for the next two weeks is the ‘5 little firemen’ song where the children can have a go ‘putting out the fire’. 🔥

Recognised annually to coincide with World Autism Awareness/Acceptance Day, this week aims to raise awareness about autism and encourages people from around the globe to take action to make the world a more inclusive place for autistic individuals.

If you are interested in learning more about supporting neurodiverse young people and adults within a sports club setting, our Disability Awareness Training on Thursday 9th May will explore a variety of ways in which the session environment can be adapted to better cater for people with Autism, ADHD and other neurodiverse conditions.
