Not flexible enough to do Yoga? No such thing! I'm living proof and now I'm teaching it! Also proud to be part of the team at Tribe PT
Fab night teaching Yoga at the amazing Tribe PT last night π§π»ββοΈπ€Έπ»ββοΈ
After a few weeks of trying to make the BendyLife Yoga Sunday Live class, after recovery from a chest infection and then a nasty virus, I FINALLY made it this morning π₯³
My lower back and between my shoulder blades were very sore, so I took Child's pose a few times. Felt incredibly stiff and achy, but soooo good to be back π€
Good vibes this week at my classes at Tribe PT
Focus, poise, strength, balance, hard work, laughter, banter, relaxation and above all, kindness! Be kind to yourself and to others and you will go far!
Well, this was a lovely surprise! I have been nominated for a Muddy Stilettos - Wiltshire award π
It would be amazing if some of you lovely people out there might like to vote for me ππΌ
Please following this link,
https://wilts.muddystilettos.co.uk/awards/nominate/
If you go there and enter your email address, you'll be sent your unique voting link. There select 'Best Yoga/Pilates Studio' in the category box, 'The Yoga Cycle' for your nominated business and 'Melksham' for the location.
I'd be super grateful and it'd be hilarious if little ol' me could make the next round π€£

I try to make my Tribe PT classes a place where people can challenge themselves, push themselves and even surprise themselves.
I also try to create an environment where people can adjust to their needs at the time, whether that be for physical, mental or emotional reasons.
I've learned a lot from BendyLife Yoga and Jolanthe is often saying "it doesn't matter what it looks like, or how far we get in the pose." She also uses the phrase "no judgement" a lot and I certainly try to emulate this in my teaching π€
Another hill repeats session tonight, training for the that's in under a month now π¬

Bath Half training again tonight, this time hill repeats.
β°οΈβ°οΈβ°οΈβ°οΈβ°οΈβ°οΈππ»ββοΈ
It was dark and chucking it down with rain π§οΈπ§οΈ Sometimes, running in the rain can be refreshing and invigorating, and sometimes it can be hideous and downright miserable... Unfortunately tonight was definitely the latter!
All I could see was the illuminated rain in front of my head torch and I was on muddy country lanes!
I asked myself, "why am I doing this!?" Then I remembered exactly why!
Raising money for the vital work Trauma Breakthrough do ππΌ

Bath Half training continues. Tonight was intervals and I hate intervals π₯΅π€’
Progress is good though and it's all so I can raise money for a great cause, Trauma Breakthrough
They helped me and I want to help them to keep helping other survivors of trauma ππΌ

How lovely is this!? A few days ago marked two years since I began teaching my own Yoga class at Tribe PT and some of my lovely yogis brought in homemade cake!!
I'm running the Bath Half for Trauma Breakthrough on the 17th March ππ»ββοΈ
They are such a worthy cause and I'd dearly love to raise as much money as I can for them π·π·π·π€
Due to a mixed bag of trauma both in my childhood and at other stages in my life, I ended up with CPTSD and after a couple of breakdowns and being left feeling utterly desperate and nearly hopeless, Trauma Breakthrough helped me understand what was happening to me and helped me unpick a lot of the threads.
I still struggle with a lot, but I feel much better equipped thanks to their help π€
So please, if you feel able and you want to truly make a difference in suffering people's lives, follow this link to my Enthuse page to make a donation ππΌ
https://bathhalf2024.enthuse.com/pf/ja-dalgleish?fbclid=PAAaaUE2QQJ7hpAq0AI-qdL4SKZKhxFW9drO-hCAFmN4_HeHzppYGVg22AVew
I have decided to lace up my running shoes again and have entered the Bath Half as part of Team Trauma Breakthrough π§‘

My hope is to raise as much money as possible for this AMAZING charity who literally, save lives! πͺπΌπ€
I put my story out last year and may share again, but for now, I'd encourage you to look them up and see what they do. They have helped me, so now I want to give back so they can carry on helping those in desperate need ππΌππΌππΌ
I've started training late, but am going to give it my all to try and run sub 90 minutes on the day! Current PB is 1:32.06 π¬
T'is true π³π€¦π»ββοΈπ€£

I might be a bit biased, but that would be money well spent! If you're in or around the Melksham area and fancy trying Yoga that purely focuses on the physical and mental health benefits of the practice π€Έπ»ββοΈπ§π»ββοΈππ» then DM to find out more, ALL ABILITIES WELCOME.....

Amazing atmosphere in Bath yesterday!
My sister and I both did well and both smashed our PB's. Claire was under a minute outside of 2 hours and I was 2Β½ minutes away from 1Β½ hours, so both have unfinished business π
It was great to be on the same team, raising money and awareness for the amazing charity Breakthrough ππΌ

BendyLife Yoga Community: Connecting home-based yogis who lead busy lives! challenge day 7 β
Since becoming a Yoga instructor (that still sounds surreal sometimes,) I've found it too easy to neglect my own practice.
Time on the mat just for me, whether to develop my knowledge/skill, for my mental health, my physical health, or just for fun!
This week I stayed in the studio after teaching my morning class at Tribe PT and spent half an hour doing a posture and hips focused routine by BendyLife Yoga Community: Connecting home-based yogis who lead busy lives!
I've been doing lots more Yoga at home and my body, mind and soul thank me for it ππΌ
