Premiere at Walsall Arena & Arts Centre on Wednesday 20th November ⏰ 6:30PM - 7:30PM (Doors & Bar from 5:30PM) to celebrate this incredible project, supported by Our Walsall through the Public Health Tackling Inactivity Fund & Public Health Men’s Mental Wellbeing Fund. All thanks to Crowdfund Walsall, your generous donations and Shakespeare Fishing who provided all the gear! 🐟👏🏻

We are still overwhelmed by the comments on YouTube after yesterday’s Snagged Bro upload, which featured the project and promoted the premiere. 50K views in a day and over 1000 comments from men across the UK and beyond, who reached out to share their stories and to explain what fishing means to them. This is what an online community looks like in action & it is so powerful. We want to see that continue to translate into PB’s & new real life friendships. 🎣

Over a weekend in early May ECHOES was enjoyed by over 300 people. – What a journey, what an experience!

“Fish on!” is a filmmaking project with angling and men’s mental health at its heart. An initiative to get men outside, active, talking - and fishing of course! And to make a short film all about it which will premiere in Walsall.

A month of presentations and interviews with Creative Alliance, The New Art Gallery Walsall and BOA.

Then, work began on our National Service project for the National Memorial Arboretum. Exploring memories of National Service and devising Workshops. Research began with Em’s 96 Year Old Grandma, Edith, and the memories of her Albert, who served in the British Army in Italy, from 1946-1948.

📌🗞️ FEBRUARY
By February, we had embarked on a big commission over in Cannock: Small Change, Big Difference. In total, we worked with 250 young people in Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Youth Services to create a number of short films inspired by climate change, carbon footprints and energy use. We explored these themes through creativity, and made pledges to nature and the place we call home. 🏡🌍
