KIIT College of Education organized special lectures on *Mental Health Awareness & Cyber Security* on 27th February, 2024. The speakers of the session were Dr.Sapna Bhardwaj, Clinical and Counselling Psychologist & Ms. Seema Tomar, Advocate & Founder Director, Sath Chale Foundation.
Dr. Anupam Bansal, Assistant Prof. KCEd moderated the session and also she had introduced the speakers formally.
Prof. Indira Dhull, Director,(KCEd) in her welcome address set the ball rolling by deliberated on the concepts of Mental health, mental health issues and social media generated cyber crime which can take a serious turn. Ms.Seema Tomar, adeliberated on Cyber Stalking and Cyber Bullying and also differentiated between them. Further, in the question answer session, she responded to students queries regarding Cyber Security.One of the students of B.Ed. 1st year, Chestha Arora also shared her experience regarding cyber crime.
Dr. Sapna Bhardwaj focused on the ways and means for good mental health. She also emphasized that mild mental health issues can be managed through counseling, therapy, and behavior modification techniques. She also shared her experiences with students.Both the lectures were informative, interactive and beneficial for students.
Dr. Anshuradha Aggarwal, Principal,KCEd proposed a formal vote of thanks. Planters with saplings were also presented to the speakers as a token of gratitude to them.

KIIT College of Education organized an Inter-House Poster Making Activity on 16th February, 2024.The objective of the activity was to foster creativity and visual communication skills among students through the medium of poster making. Firstly, Students were categorised into four groups according to their houses i.e. Sadbhavna, Sanyam, Sahyog & Ahimsa.Students were assigned the topics according to their houses i.e.Ancient Food Preservation Method in India, Holistic Wellness, Indian Artistic Tradition & Ancient Water Resources Management in India. These topics are related with Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). The Activity began with an introduction to the significance of poster making as a means of visual communication. Students were briefed on the elements of effective poster design, including layout, color scheme, typography, and imagery.Students were provided with poster-making materials such as chart paper, colors, markers, and other artistic supplies. The poster making activity organized by KIIT College of Education was a successful endeavor that facilitated creative expression and visual communication among students. It served as a platform for students to explore their artistic talents and convey messages of India’s Historical perspectives through posters.

Basant Panchami, also known as Saraswati Puja, marks the onset of the spring season and is celebrated with great enthusiasm across India. On February 14, 2024, KIIT College of Education organized a vibrant celebration to honor this auspicious occasion.
The celebration commenced with a traditional puja dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge, music, arts, and wisdom. Faculty members, staff, and students gathered in C.V Raman Auditorium to seek blessings for academic success and wisdom.A special rendition of Saraswati Vandana, hymns dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, was performed by students, invoking divine blessings for intellect and learning. The melodious rendition added a spiritual dimension to the celebration.The Basant Panchami celebration at KIIT College of Education was a joyous occasion that brought together the entire academic community in reverence and celebration. Through prayers, cultural performances, and educational activities, the event not only honored tradition but also highlighted the importance of knowledge and creativity in academic pursuits.

The Surajkund Craft Mela, held annually in the state of Haryana, is a celebration of India's rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship. This report provides an overview of the visit by KIIT College of Education to the Surajkund Craft Mela, highlighting the cultural, educational, and recreational experiences of the participants.
The visit by KIIT College of Education took place on 13th February, 2024 at the Surajkund Craft Mela grounds located in Faridabad, Haryana.
The primary objective of the visit was to expose students to the diverse cultural traditions and artistic expressions showcased at the Surajkund Craft Mela, thereby enhancing their understanding of Indian heritage and craftsmanship. Our Honourable President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the 37th Surajkund Craft Mela at Surajkund, Haryana. The theme state is Gujrat and partner country is Tanzania, an African country which highlighted India's engagement with African Union.
Students had the opportunity to explore a wide array of crafts from different states of India, including handloom textiles, pottery, woodwork, metalwork, and traditional paintings. They interacted with artisans, learning about the intricate techniques and cultural significance behind each craft. Various cultural performances, including folk dances, music concerts, and puppet shows, provided a glimpse into the vibrant traditions of India. Students immersed themselves in the rhythmic beats and colorful performances, gaining a deeper appreciation for the country's cultural diversity. The visit to the Surajkund Craft Mela provided students with valuable educational insights into India's cultural heritage and artistic traditions. They gained a deeper understanding of the significance of traditional crafts in preserving cultural identity and promoting sustainable livelihoods.
The visit to the Surajkund Craft Mela was a fulfilling and enriching experience for the students of KIIT College of Education. माघ महीने की पंचमी तिथि से ऋतुराज बसंत का आगमन होता है। मानव तो क्या पशु-पक्षी तक उल्लास से भर जाते हैं। वसंत पंचमी पर्व भारतीय जनजीवन को अनेक तरह से प्रभावित करता है। प्राचीनकाल से इसे ज्ञान और कला की देवी मां सरस्वती का जन्मदिवस माना जाता है। जो शिक्षाविद भारत और भारतीयता से प्रेम करते हैं, वे इस दिन मां शारदे की पूजा कर उनसे और अधिक ज्ञानवान होने की प्रार्थना करते हैं।

School - College Partnership Programme Report 9th February, 2024
As per Haryana State Government instructions, Principal, Government Senior Secondary School, Ghamroj, Bhondsi requested Director, KIIT College of Education to arrange a visit of 95 students and 4 teachers to KIIT under School - College partnership Programme. After due permission, the said visit was organized on February 9, 2024. The visit aimed at familiarizing school students regarding KIIT, its constituents, learning environment, infrastructural facilities, curricular and co-curricular activities. This was done by knowledge sharing and on-the-spot visits.
At the outset the visiting students and teachers interaction and collaboration session was conducted in Convention Hall, KIIT College of Engineering, Gurugram. Later the school students along with College of Education students gathered in C V Raman auditorium. A wide range of cultural activities were performed by visiting school students and students of KIIT World School, Sohna Road, Gurugram. The school teachers were first given opportunity to express about their expectations from this visit. Thereafter the school students were familiarized about the KIIT, its campus, facilities and variety of programmes undertaken through power point and Video presentations by Prof .(Dr.) Indira Dhull, Director. The audio-visual session highlighted the multifarious activities conducted by the College of Education. Registrar, Dr. Neelima Kamrah focused on the values like gratitude, regularity, attitude of positivity, dutifulness and proper etiquettes. Students highly appreciated the move.
School Students were then taken in groups to the library, classrooms, smart room, seminar room, multimedia room, language laboratory, activity rooms, Subject resource centers, yoga room, teaching aid room, computer lab, sports room, and common rooms . Digital system of library very much attracted the students. Students were motivated with the wall magazine display and honour’s board.
A group photograph was taken at the end. Students were asked to gather in Convention Hall, KIIT College of Engineering, Gurugram for narrating their experiences and feedback sharing. Students shared their views and highly appreciated the cleanliness in the campus, resourceful library and well maintained Art & Craft room and resource centers. Students also visited mechanical lab and computer lab of College of Engineering.
Finally, Students were served with refreshment. Feedback indicated that they found the visit quite useful, enriching and educative. They got impressed by friendly ambiance, hospitality and learning resources.

Participation in Kalanjali 2024 Inter-College Competition:
Kalanjali 2024, an esteemed inter-college competition, held on February 6th, 2024, at CPSM College of Education Gurugram, provided a platform for students to unleash their talents, exhibit creativity, and foster connections with like-minded individuals.

Students from KIIT College of Education enthusiastically participated in various categories, including Digital flyer making, Power Point Presentation, Duet Dance, Rangoli with paper pasting, and Fresh Flower Arrangement.

The competition featured a diverse array of categories spanning digital design, performing arts, and traditional crafts, catering to a wide range of talents and interests.

The students exhibited remarkable skill and creativity across all categories, showcasing their talent and dedication to their craft.

Notably, Neha Raghav, a student of B.Ed 2nd year, secured the Third prize in the Rangoli with paper pasting competition, showcasing her exceptional artistic skill and dedication to the craft.

Participation in Kalanjali 2024 provided invaluable learning experiences, fostering personal growth, resilience, and a deeper appreciation for the arts and creative expression.

KIIT College of Education organized a special lecture on "Role of ICT in Achieving SDG Goal 4: Quality Education for All on 7th February, 2024.The speaker of the session was Dr. Rashmi Chauhan (Post Doctor Fellowship), Alumni , KIIT College of Education.In recent years, the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has emerged as a powerful tool in advancing education and facilitating the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 – Quality Education. SARATHI Career Summit 2024, Gurugram University, Gurugram (05-02-2024)
On Monday 05 February, KIIT College of Education enthusiasitically participated in the one day SARATHI CAREER SUMMIT, 2024 organised by Gurugram University. The aim of this career summit is providing proper guidance to students in the fields of education, employment, skill and entrepreneurship. Indresh Kumar senior campaigner of RSS as chief guest in programme, Vice chancellor (Prof. Dinesh Kumar) of Gurugram is the program president, Special Guest Prof. Ranjana Agarwal, Director, CSIR, Vice Chancellor of Shri Vishwakarma Kaushal University Dr. Raj Nehru, General Secretary Dr. Rajiv Kumar Singh, RJ Khurafati Nitin, Haryanvi singer Subhash Fauji, Bollywood singer Rahul Yadav Fazalpuria, Haryanvi singer M. D Desi rockstar participated.
Honorable guests inaugurated the program by lighting lamps in front of the Maa Saraswati idol.
During the event, a splendid showcase of Haryana's vibrant culture, featuring multiple presentations of song, music, and dance, captivated the audience.
On this occasion, KIIT Group of Colleges set up two stalls to show the achievements of their departments. About 3500 students of university and associated colleges and workers of India-Tibet Cooperation Forum, Temple, Reporter participated in the program.
During this event, two YouTube channels of Gurugram University Uni Voice and Digi Academy launched and demonstrated the importance of documentary silence created by the students of Media Studies Department. Indresh Kumar present as chief guest at the event on the occasion said that Yuva Shakti will play an important role in making this concept of Developed India @ 2047 a reality. The dream of developed India @ 2047 will come true only by making the youth power skilled and skilled. He also highlighted the role of educational institutions in the personality development of youth during this time. On this occasion, the chairman of the program and the chancellor of GurugramUniversity Prof. Dinesh Kumar expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the guests and artists for participating in the programme that participating in such programmes develops the whole personality of the students. HOUSE ACTIVITY ON ROAD SAFETY

KIIT College of Education organized an Inter house activity on ROAD SAFETY. The objective of this quiz is to enhance student’s knowledge and make them aware about various traffic signs, their meanings, and relevance in promoting road safety.
The quiz was being organized in KIIT College of Education. The random chits were drawn and distributed among the four houses named Sadbhavna, Sanyam, Sahyog, and Ahimsa. Each team was given chits containing a specific traffic sign.
The students participated enthusiastically and shown their interest in gaining knowledge on Road safety. Students explained the assigned traffic signs to their peers, elaborating the meaning, significance, and actions driver and pedestrians should adhere when encountering it.
Faculty of KCED aided the discussion to give vast knowledge on the subject matter, which was an interactive discussion with students, gave an open stage to students to freely put their point across as well, and further insights into the practical application of the presented traffic signs.
Prof. Indira Dhull, Director, KIIT College of Education motivated the students to follow the traffic signals and promoted a culture of responsibility among the student community.

KIIT College celebrated 75th Republic Day with full enthusiasm. Prof. Indira Dhull, Director highlighted the importance of this day and Prof. Anshu Radha, Principal narrated a story to inculcate the values of patriotism and nation building among pupil teachers.
B.Ed. students Aakash and Shikha Chandela were the moderators of the programme. Arti, Prakansha, Kanisha, Sanisha, Jaya and Ashish have filled the colours in the celebration with their poems, thoughts, patriotic songs and shayari.

"Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" (Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter) is a government campaign in India aimed at addressing gender imbalance and promoting the welfare of girls. Launched in 2015, it focuses on improving the declining child s*x ratio and ensuring the education and empowerment of girls. The initiative involves awareness programs, financial incentives, and policy advocacy to promote the value of girl children in society. Students of B.Ed. 1st Year of KIIT College of Education took an initiative and donated stationary items and also educated Girl Child. It will convey the commitment of ensuring the rights of girl child and empowerment of Women.While progress has been made, challenges such as deep-rooted cultural biases and social norms persist, requiring sustained efforts for meaningful change.

On the 18th of January 2024, the college had the privilege of hosting an extension lecture on "Holistic and Multidisciplinary Education," delivered by Prof. Tania Gupta, the esteemed Dean of the K.R. Mangalam University. Prof. Indira Dhull, (Director, KCEd.) extended a warm welcome to Prof. Tania and Dr. Anupam Bansal introduced her to the audience.

On 15-1-2024, an insightful extension lecture on Skill Development and Employability was conducted at college.

Lohri, a vibrant and joyous festival marked the culmination of winter and arrival of longer days.
The college celebrated Lohri cm Makar Sakranti on 12th of January 2024 with full zest and zeal. Komal Mehra and Harsh*ta Choudhary B.Ed 2nd year students hosted the programme. Makar Sakranti also celebrated with great zeal, which highlighting the cultural diversity of our society. Priya Singh, B.Ed 1st Year Student gave a speech on Lohri festival and described about the importance of this festival in our life. Traditional Punjabi songs and dances added in the atmosphere, creating a sense of unity and happiness among the participants. The aroma of popcorn, peanuts and rewri with bonfire filled in the air, enhanced the festival spirit.

In a significant initiative towards community health and safety, a CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training session was conducted at KIIT campus, Gurugram. The mentor of the training was Dr. Deepak Kapoor from MAX Healthcare. The event, sponsored by Nav Bharat Times, aimed to equip individuals with life-saving skills, fostering a culture of preparedness and immediate response in emergency situations.

The training session commenced with an informative introduction of Dr. Deepak Kapoor by Dr. Rachna Sharma and his welcome by Prof. Indira Dhull.
Dr. Deepak Kapoor is a seasoned medical professional with expertise in emergency medicine. He emphasized the critical importance of CPR in providing crucial support to individuals experiencing cardiac arrest, highlighting the potential to save lives through timely intervention.

Participants were guided through hands-on CPR demonstrations, where Dr. Kapoor provided practical insights into proper chest compressions and rescue breaths. Prof. Anshu Radha Agarwal proposed the vote of thanks and said that this CPR training at KIIT proved to be a valuable educational experience, empowering participants with practical skills that can make a significant difference in emergency situations.
The event not only highlighted the importance of individual preparedness but also highlighted the positive impact that collaborative initiatives between medical professionals, media and educational institutions can have on community well-being. As attendees left the session, they carried not only a newfound knowledge of CPR but also a sense of responsibility towards creating a safer and more resilient community.

KIIT College of Education conducted a Pre- internship Programme from 11th December to 15th December 2023 for B.Ed. 2nd year students. On the first day of programme, Dr. Rachna Sharma, Associate Prof. KIIT College of Education provided an overview of the internship programme which included its purpose, objective and importance. She also deliberated on how to make lesson plans for classroom teaching. Prof. Indira Dhull, Director, KIIT College of Education delivered a special lecture on Professional Ethics for Teachers. She emphasised that a teacher needs to have empathy, patience, active listening, unbiased attitude, life-long learning, creativity,collaboration and reasonable flexibility to be a true Mentor of his students. On the second day of the session, Prof.Anshu Radha Aggarwal,Principal, KCEd. talked about Technology Integrations and Educational Tools. She further explained that AI and ICT tools can help the students to learn the content easily. Various advance apps i.e. Gamma App, Chat GPT and other Educational tools were also described by her. On the third day of Pre- Internship session, Dr.Anupam Bansal, Assistant Professor, KCEd., taught the students about the construction of achievement tools. Students prepared blue print and content analysis of achievement test. Dr. Parvesh Lata, Associate Prof., G.D. Goenka University delivered an extension on Diversity in School System: An International and Comparative Perspective. She presented a comparative view of School System of India, Finland and Japan. On the last day of the session Ms. Yogita Sharma, Senior Coordinator, KIIT World School, Gurugram discussed on Teachers' Role and Responsibilities in classroom teaching through interactive mode. After that Dr. Anupam Bansal presented an overview of School Based Activity File. Dr. Shikha, Assistant Prof. KCEd. also deliberated on how to write book review and also shared format of book review. Dr. Aruna, Assistant Prof. KCEd. also discussed psychological test, it's meaning and importance in classroom teaching. Students actively participated in the session and conceptualized the process and procedure of internship programme.
