Bij Yoga Vayu volg je vinyasa (flow) lessen in groepsverband of privé. In vinyasa lessen gaan alle yoga houdingen vloeiend in elkaar over. Het doel is om te zorgen dat je met een goed gevoel over de les, maar vooral ook over jezelf de mat af stapt! Je kan ons vinden bij diverse evenementen en op verschillende locaties. Darlings in the neighborhood, another series in Dutch. This one is all about rest!

Voor iedereen die behoefte heeft aan ontspanning is de serie Restorative Yoga Workshops terug.

Waarschijnlijk weet je heel goed dat ontspanning nét zo nodig is als inspanning, om je goed te voelen. Maar misschien merk je ook dat het niet makkelijk is om daar tijd voor vrij maken, laat staan het te doen? Schrijf je nu in, zodat je in ieder geval 4 dagen hebt, waarin niets anders dan jij en jouw ontspanning belangrijk zijn.
Restorative Yoga helpt jouw lichaam om te ontspannen door het op specifieke plaatsen te ondersteunen met kussens en dekens. Biddy helpt je om in elke houding echt comfortabel te zijn, zodat je in die houding kan blijven. Daardoor krijgt jouw brein het signaal dat het mag ontspannen. Als je lichaam echt diepe ontspanning vindt, begint het met rusten en herstellen.

Je wordt tijdens de workshops stap voor stap begeleid en je gaat naar huis met tips en ideeën over hoe je thuis ook momenten kan creëren om (even) echt te rusten!

Wat kan je verwachten?
* 4 workshops waar jij, diepe ontspanning en rust centraal staan
* Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra
* Ademhalingsoefeningen
* Tips om ook thuis momenten van diepe rust te kunnen maken

Zondag 5 - 12 - 19 - 26 maart: 13.00 tot 15.00 uur.

Je kan je inschrijven bij de receptie van Active Health Center en wacht niet te lang: er zijn beperkt plaatsen beschikbaar! De workshops zijn geschikt voor beginners en voor mensen die al vaker Restorative Yoga hebben gedaan.

Kom 1 keer per maand genieten van een heerlijk ontspannen start van je weekend. Deze les is een speciale Yoga slow flow waarin alles erop gericht is om jou zo relaxed mogelijk het weekend in te laten gaan. De les is geschikt voor mensen met en zonder Yoga ervaring, iedereen is welkom. De XL Yoga les duurt langer dan de standaard lessen, waardoor er meer ruimte is voor verdieping en de ontspanning aan het eind van de les! Na afloop staat er een heerlijke kruidenthee voor je klaar en is er tijd om na te praten!

I am in awe. Of you. Of us. Of how our community has grown closer and how we've connected on so many levels this year. This End of Year Meditation was a wonderful way to go through everything that we've been through this year. It comes as no surprise that many of my memories are from events that I have shared with you.

I am grateful. For you. For us. For the ways you allow me to hold space for this community and how much love and joy you all create in it.

Why practice Yoga Nidra? Here's a quote from the Cleveland Clinic:

"In this deeper relaxation, the pineal gland is activated and that releases the hormone melatonin.

Melatonin is a powerful antioxidant. It can also help manage immune function, blood pressure, cortisol levels and induce restful sleep.

A recent study showed that while meditation and Yoga Nidra were both effective in reducing anxiety and stress, Yoga Nidra seemed to be more effective in reducing anxiety. The study also suggested that Yoga Nidra can be a useful tool in reducing both cognitive and physiological symptoms of anxiety."

And this is not even mentioning the fact that it's just an incredibly delicious practice!

It's not often we create time to REST. To do nothing, produce nothing, consume nothing. Instead choose to simple BE.

I love creating space for you to do just that! Space for softness, kindness and loving rest for you. Supporting the body with pillows and blankets, stillness and warmth. Finding all the elements we need to allow our parasympathetic nervous system to do what its meant to do. Calm down and help you restore, heal, digest.

It's time to slow down darlings and I would love to help you with that. There are a lot of options for you to rest, practice and have fun with me this week (besides my regular classes!).

Friday evening's in person event at is waiting list only right now. No need to worry, you can join me online on Saturday and Sunday too!

This Saturday morning we gather for the last Monthly Restore of the year. This month's theme is Rest and I am so looking forward to restoring with you darlings!

The Zero Book Club is back on Sunday morning, and this is also our last meeting of the year as our December meeting is a book gifting party to celebrate books and each other with the group of people that signed up!

Sunday evening we gather with audio only for the last regular Yoga Nidra of the year. As always, the December version is a special gathering, so please join me for this last "regular" Yoga Nidra on Sunday!

We are having a special Christmas celebration Zero Pressure Book Club meeting in December and today is the last day to sign up and join us!

All those that join will gift 1 book to another member, decided through random draw. Choose a book you love and write a note to explain why this book is your gift!

Our ZPBC is international so depending on who you draw, you might have to send a book around the world.

We will unwrap our gifts together on December 11 🤓📚🎁❄️

I love it when Jilly rests her head on me 😍. She's so good at finding comfort whenever she lays down and I wish we all would to that a little more often too.

I'm glad that one of the first things I'll do now that I'm back in The Netherlands is our Monthly Restore.

Join me online this Saturday at 10 am CEST. We'll start with tea and a short chat and then start with our Restorative Yoga practice to support our bodies to find actual and deep rest. And I think by now we all agree: Rest is benificial for so many things. It lowers your stress level, helps you focus and helps the body recover and energize. I personally also find that when I'm rested, i enjoy things so much more.

Happiest of birthdays Yoga with Adriene 💗. I spent some time going through photos and it made me so happy to see these and many more.

From the practices at home, to the times rolling out my mat during the first roadshow. From practicing in Austin to assisting in Ally Pally, Kew and the Oval. All the way back to the first time I met Adriene and Jeff in a park in London.

So many memories and so many amazing people met through this beautiful community you built and grew.

Thank you all so so much. I can't really find words to tell you how I love and appreciate you, so I chose some pictures of my favorite YwA memories instead. Love and a big birthday hug to all of you 🤗❤️✨

Our members have chosen the upcoming dates, mark your calendars and join us to talk about books. We won't tell you what to read, there are enough pressure and deadlines in life already. We just want you to come hang out and maybe tell us about a book you've read!

Learn how to practice Restorative Yoga in the comfort of your own home!

This Saturday morning our Monthly Restore is back! Grab all the and blankets pillows, find a quiet spot and join me for the loving practice of rest.

We will start our class with a check in to see how everyone is doing, followed by a short intro before we start our practice. We will practice letting go. Of tension. Of negative thoughts. Of thinking we should do things a certain way. Of trying to fit your body into the practice. Instead we will invite softness, kindness and open our mind to notice what you need. Offering both body and mind the opportunity to find what soothes.
