Our Guild is made up of a diverse, creative and inspirational group of people! Join us! There is a weekly group workshop on a Thursday morning.
The Guild has a monthly meeting, held at Leith Bowling Club, 2 Duke Street, Woodhaugh, Dunedin. Evening meetings are held on the fourth Thursday in the following months: Jan, Feb, March, April, Sept, Oct, Nov. Day meetings are held each fourth Saturday in the following months: May, June, July, August. Workshop is an informal stitch group open to all Guild members, held each Thursday morning 9.30 –

Thank you to all that were able to attend or support the ANZEG Conference 2024 - A Stitch in Time. We thoroughly enjoyed hosting you in Dunedin and wish you all a safe journey home if you travelled to be with us. We look forward to seeing everybody together again in Palmerston North for Threads of Connection in 2026.
There is still plenty of time to visit the exhibition and see the beautiful works of embroidery on display. The exhibition runs until 26 July.
Bewitching stitching Hundreds of embroidery enthusiasts turned out for the Otago Embroiderers’ Guild conference exhibition at the weekend.
The Merchants Mall is open until Wednesday 2pm so there’s still time to pop in for a visit!
The National Exhibitions are now open for everyone to view at the Otago Art Society rooms at the Dunedin Railway Station. Congratulations to everyone that entered and to all of the award winners announced last night. The exhibition runs for two weeks so make sure you pop in for a look at the beautiful embroidery pieces on display.
If you’re in town for the conference then check out the beautifully stitched bookmarks that our friends at the Dunedin City Library have on display.
Embroidery brings New Zealand history to life in the tapestries on display at the Otago Art Society rooms at the Dunedin Railway Station. Don’t miss this really special opportunity to be able to see 25 completed tapestries displayed all together in one place over the next two weeks.

The ANZEG National Embroidery Exhibition and the Tapestry Trust of New Zealand Exhibition are starting to be set up at this wonderful venue ready for conference participants and the public to enjoy from this weekend onwards. We can’t wait to see you!
Congratulations to Anne Jaquiery-Newall, one of our talented members, for winning the “innovative” section in the Great Escape Exhibition last weekend. We were lucky to see this beautiful design in person at our Guild meeting on Thursday evening. Well done Anne!

Join us for the conference festivities, enter the embroidery exhibition, and/or take part in a workshop or two. The view from our venue at St Hilda’s Collegiate School is stunning and we look forward to sharing it with you.

The Tapestry Project - Otago Embroiderers’ Guild
Every second Wednesday, members of the Otago Embroiderers’ Guild will be working on panels for the New Zealand: A History in Stitch project. Come and chat with the ladies and see some artistry at work, and maybe even learn a new stitch or two.
