St Brigid's School year 6 students participated in the Rūnā programme at Macandrew Bay Boating Club. This was an awesome experience to learn and understand the concept of 'Harnessing the Wind.' Students were pushing outside their comfort zone while also learning a variety of knot tying, buoyancy and weather concepts. If you're interested in participating in Rūnā in 2024 get in touch and one of our schools team would love to have a chat about it.
Wow! We gave so much pre loved gear away on Saturday evening!
Working alongside Replay - NZ, our vision is to bring our gear swap stand to the community more often in 2024. However, in order to do that and to have gear to give, we do require donations of preloved sports gear and clothing to keep coming in, so they can keep going back out to the community.
Whether it is sports clothing, running shoes, football/rugby boots, running spikes, sports equipment such as balls, bats or shin pads, we can take this off you! Just because your children have grown out of it or don't use it anymore, doesn't mean someone else won't enjoy it!
All donations can be dropped off to Sport Otago on any weekday between 8.30am - 5pm, or if you have a large load of gear, get in touch with us and we can arrange to collect it from you.
Let's work together to REPLAY our gear!

Sitting in an ice bath for 6 minutes was pretty chilly, but it's a fantastic cause to support. We are thankful to have the opportunity to be involved! We've done the hard work, all Heart Kids are asking you to do is donate what you can to help our tamariki with heart conditions. Why would your school want to get involved with our PALs (Physical Activity Leaders) programme in 2024? It could be to make your school a more active place, for the improved educational and behaviour outcomes, to give your senior students a leadership opportunity, or many other reasons. It might not be because they get to come to our awesome end of year PALs party, but the kids will sure remember it! If you'd like to know more about PALs and how your school could benefit from it drop us a message.

We’re asking for feedback on plans for Dunedin’s three destination playgrounds at Marlow Park (the Dinosaur Park), Woodhaugh Gardens and Mosgiel Memorial Gardens. We’ve listened to your ideas and have put together proposed concept plans to turn these playgrounds into modern destination playgrounds.
We’re introducing some exciting changes at the playgrounds: they will have inclusive play for all ages, water, sand and music play, skateboarding, parkour, trampolines, climbing nets, basket swings, inclusive carousels, log scrambles, play towers and spinning see-saws and shaded, sheltered spaces for families to gather.
You can see the plans, and flythrough videos and fill in the feedback form at www.dunedin.govt.nz/destination-play You can also attend one of our open days or drop-ins if you would like to talk to us in person about the playgrounds. We’ll provide further details soon.
