A couple of familiar names feature in the Basketball New Zealand Under 15 Men's National Team Staff announcement and selection camp athletes!!
Congratulations to Zach Cashmore who has been selected for the next phase of the process and will be attending camp in July! We caught up with Zach who had this to say about his selection - "I am incredibly excited to have made the squad and have this opportunity. It was a tough trial with some amazingly talented boys. I have had incredible support from the Otago Boys Coaching staff over the summer holidays training over the break to get me ready for the trial - Levi Kaan, Darcy Knox, and Esteban. They have gone above and beyond. I have also been with Otago Basketball for a number of years."
Congratulations to former Basketball Otago Game Development, Greg Brockbank, who has been selected as an assistant coach, and Mikayla Rosieur who has been named physio 🤩🤩

Basketball Otago had a handful of athletes attend the Basketball New Zealand Under 15 Girls Camp. After a successful camp, Rosie Gaffaney has been invited to attend the next phase where she has the opportunity to showcase her skills and potentially get a selection to represent New Zealand!
We spoke to Rosie after this announcement and this is what she had to say, “It’s really exciting to be able to have this opportunity. I’d like to thank Greg and Markham for all the hard work they have put in for me, and also my parents of course for everything they’ve done.”
Congratulations Rosie on your selection! We cannot wait to follow your journey!
St Hilda's Collegiate is seeking expression of interest for 2024 basketball coaches.

The Senior role will involve 1-2 practices a week and a weekly competitive game on a Friday evening from May. This role would be good for anyone with experience in coaching basketball and who would like to enhance their knowledge by coaching a school team.
For our intermediate teams, this would involve 1 practice a week (lunch time or after school) and a game weekly on a Monday afternoon. This is the perfect place for anyone interested in starting their coaching pathway.
