Josephine sharing her skills this morning that are inspiring others :-)
We have been very lucky to have the lovely Josephine relieving at our place. She is a very talented teacher and brings with her many skills. She has shared her love of music with our tamariki by playing her guitar most days, but today she brought a special treat - her violin. Her skills have inspired some tamariki and Maddison put on a show for her whΔnau this morning and shared this treat. We love seeing the continuity between kindergarten and home. Thank you Asta for showing us, and allowing us to share Maddison's joy for music.
Baking a 'Black Bean Chocolate Cake' for curriculum catering this week. A first for me and remembering it is more about the process than the product - we followed a recipe, we measured, we poured, we smelt, we mixed, we 'licked' the scraper (a must when baking in my opinion) and we practiced patience.....
We then got to taste our creation. 10 out of 10 Pita exclaimed!
Very tasty if I do say so myself π
Thursday the 9th of May we headed up the hill for Amy's last trip. We welcomed Dakota, Franco, and Kora for their first trip. Thank you to Kiki, Asta, and Kingston for your support today. With Amy leading the way we walked on the painted lines of the soccor field, we explored, we investigated, we balanced, we swung, we hung, we ran, we ate, and we rolled our way back down the hill to kindergarten again.
We are so lucky to have this area right next door to explore fortnightly.
