But we’re upping the ante 🙌
We want our next challenge to push members further and harder than before.
Because that’s where the real results are found.
Stay tuned for the announcement - and the prize 🏴☠️
Happy Tuesday Ironhouse Crew 🔥
We hope you’re smashing your training goals this week…
The good news?
We get to train even harder next week!
That’s the beauty of compounding effort - once you get started, it gets harder and harder to stop and the results just keep coming.
Featuring who knows a thing or two about getting great results 🙌
The calm before the storm 🙄
Is there ever a better moment than when you first get your headphones on and start working out?
Keep an eye on
Big things coming for her and for Ironhouse…
It’s Monday Morning 👀
The chance to start your week off strong and hit a workout.
The easy thing to do would be to give it a miss - you’ve got a busy week this week right?
Far simpler to skip the gym…
But that’s not how goals are achieved.
A worthy goal is only so because it’s challenging. Getting the physique you want requires consistent effort and sacrifice.
Coming to the gym today is a great first step.
This is your reminder…
To PUSH yourself when you workout!!
We’re here for a reason… 💪
The more effort you put in, the better results you get out.
If you need a hand bringing the intensity - Matt is always a good one to talk to 👏
It’s always a good time training at Ironhouse 👏
Just because your train hard and get great results, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your training.
Ironhouse gym is about both - hard work AND good times 🙌
The community we have here is a testament to that.
Happy Monday crew - have a great week 💪
Who’s going to be our female bench champion? 🥇

Remember to use a spotter 🫡

Stay tuned 👀
Competition is heating up in our weekly bench press challenge… 👇
We’ve had some impressive entries so far - a few of 15 reps and the current front runners on 23 reps.
That’s right - 23 clean reps of their body weight on bench press.
Who’s gonna beat it? 🥇
Anything better looking than this? 😍💪

See you in the gym…
Going strong this week? 💪
It’s hump day! And that’s around the time it can be difficult to get to the gym…
We’re here for you! We’ve got an exciting pull up challenge ongoing as well as the usual epic support from other members. 🥇
The hardest part is getting through the door…
See you soon team 💯
Guess how much weight he’s rowing here? 🙄
Nothing like a heavy T Bar row to fire up those lats and get your back to grow…
At least until you can’t grip the bar anymore 😂
How Important is Diet… REALLY? 🍕
You may have heard people say “you can’t out-train a bad diet”.
And they’re right!
The work you do in the gym will give you much better results if you have a diet that supports your goals 💪
If you’re looking to lose fat, this means eating in a calorie deficit.
Eating high protein is great for building and maintaining muscle.
Don’t waste your hard work at the gym! Eat well and watch your physique transform 🙌
“Beast Mode: ON” 🐅
Elliot getting it done. As usual.
So motivating to see our members pushing themselves every day.
The hardest part is getting in the door, once you’re here - how can you NOT feel motivated? 💪
EVERY. REP. COUNTS. 😅
Hope the Ironhouse family is enjoying the long weekend.
We’ve had a lot of new faces in the gym - it was great to meet you all and can’t wait to see you more often 💪
Super motivating to see so many committing to results and putting in the effort (even while we’re on holiday).
Awesome stuff 👏

- Family vibe
To just name a few…
We have made a commitment to making Ironhouse the ultimate gym destination in the Waikato.
This means getting new equipment regularly, listening to community feedback and doing whatever we can to make this the perfect gym for YOU.
We’ll see you inside.
How Much Rest Time Do You Need? 👇
Don’t underestimate the importance of rest time and recovery…
The time you take to recover between sets is almost as important as the effort you put in during your sets.
Here are some tips on how to know you’ve had enough rest and are ready for your next set:
1️⃣ You’re not out of breath. If you’re gasping for air as you start another set, it’s highly likely your cardiovascular system will stop you short of muscle failure. If you’re training for muscle growth, we don’t want air intake to be an issue.
2️⃣ It’s been 1-3 minutes. This is the average rest time we use for most exercises. Slightly shorter for less draining movements (like bicep curls), longer for heavy exercises (like deadlifts/squats).
3️⃣ You’ve had time to drink some water. Keeping hydrated is key to performing at your best and in-between sets is a great time to rehydrate.
4️⃣ You feel ready and motivated to go. Listening to your body is very important. Sometimes you will feel you need a little extra rest after an especially draining set. And that’s ok! Better to rest up and hit it even harder next time, than sell yourself short by not recovering for longer enough.
Combine these tips and you’ll be getting the most out of your sets in terms of rest time. Stay strong team.
If you want results… PUSH yourself 👏
Ironhouse is a place where we strive to make each other better. I challenge you to find a more positive group of people.
United as a gym community we’re stronger and we achieve more. Nothing more rewarding than spotting a fellow member through a bench press PB.
The most important part of a gym 👇
Do you feel inspired and supported by the other members around you?
Gyms are the one place in which everyone is united by a shared goal - to push themselves and become better.
It’s so important as you begin your fitness journey that you find your tribe. The people who have your back and want to see you win.
That’s what Ironhouse is all about.
Making time for the gym can be tough… 👇
Here’s 3 tips to keep you on track with your training (even when you don’t have much time)
- Shorten rest times if it suits your training style. You don’t need to spend hours at the gym to get great results.
- Train at either end of the day: early in the morning or later at night. We’re open 24 hours so pick a time where you don’t have other commitments.
- Set a habit of training at the same time every day. This stops you losing track of time and makes it easier to routinely make time for the gym.
Welcome to Ironhouse… 👇
Here at Ironhouse Gym in the Waikato we’re all about creating a strong, supportive community and chasing our goals together.
We have a HUGE range of equipment to match the diversity of our members and their training styles.
If you’re looking for a friendly, motivating, spacious and well-equipped environment to get on track with your fitness goals… you’re in the right place 💪
What drives you?👇
Ironhouse is a gym that is full of motivation. We have members with amazing stories - all united by the idea of training to better themselves.
So what drives you? What reason do you have to push yourself and improve your fitness? This is the place to find out 🫡
4 reasons you should always use a spotter…
1. Safety first - a spotter is a barrier between you and potential injuries.
2. Pushing PRs - it’s much safer to push your limits when a spotter has your back
3. Motivation - half spotter, half motivational speaker: a spotter will help you make the most of your reps
4. Form checks - great to have an outside eye ensuring your form stays tight
Bottom line… don’t neglect a spotter! The Ironhouse community is always willing to lend a helping hand and push you through those heavy lifts. Just ask!
Heavy deadlifts are welcome here ⚒️👇
Ironhouse is a gym about pushing your limits and achieving at your highest level.
All the more reason for us to be fully stocked with gear and facilities specific to strength goals like the deadlift platform. Even better - there’s always chalk on hand to help you keep your grip.
One of the biggest mistakes we see👇
Performing exercises with poor form. Lifting with moderate weight and good form is much better for muscle growth. Yes there are times to go heavy…
But the majority of your training should be focussed on lifting with great form and intensity. Safety in the gym js super important.
Not sure on correct form for a certain exercise? The ironhouse community along with personal trainers .procoaching are always willing to help.
