Day 5 of Midyear Program Review and Evaluation(MPRE) & In-Service Training (INSET)

Title: Ending and Closing of the MPRE/INSET

The master teachers took the lead for the fifth day of the MPRE/INSET. They facilitated the review and evaluation of the results of the rated lessons of their respective mentees that they observed. Each one of them gave their narrative analysis on the result of teachers rating and shared observed practices and strategies for the other teachers to emulate. The next session was on the review and evaluation of the results of the pre-assessment of the Global Resources for Assessment Curriculum and Evaluation (GRACE) which was presented by Janice C. Campos, the grade one coordinator. The results in all the learning areas tested were not really that bad as these are all in green which inspired and motivated the grade one teachers to do even better. Said results gave them affirmation to how they are providing instructions to their pupils. These results will also be included as basis for intervention and enhancement activities. The last topic was on the last activity of the third phase of the RPMS Cycle which was on the accomplishment of the monitoring and review form which will form part of the Modes of Verifications (MOV’s) of the Individual Performance Commitment Review Form (IPCRF). This was facilitated by the master teachers. At the end of all the sessions and activities, the post test and evaluation were conducted which was facilitated by Teresita S. Castellano, the chairman of the MEA.

Finally, the MPRE/INSET for this school year ended and closed resoundingly. This is supported by the results of the post test that showed that learning took place during the MPRE/INSET and the results of the evaluation. The teachers strongly agreed that the activity was well managed, the objectives were attained and there was a clear delivery of the topics discussed.

Day 4 of the Midyear Program Review and Evaluation (MPRE) & In-Service Training

In the morning of January 29, Ma'am Ligaya N. Annawi discussed the objectives for Catch-up Fridays in Peace Education, Values Education, and Health Education. Following that, we welcomed the new OIC-ASDS Ma’am Carmen Meris at Baguio Central School. She delivered an encouraging message to all District 6 principals and teachers in elementary and high school under the supervision of Ma'am Lourdes B. Lomas-e, PSDS. She emphasized two critical aspects: The Culture of Gratitude and Diplomacy and emphasized the importance of learning to understand and respect to authority.

In the afternoon session, Ma'am Annawi constructed an integrative template in preparing lesson plans for Catch-up Fridays in Peace Education, Values Education, Health Education, and other subjects. She also covered the phases of RPMS. Meanwhile, Ustad Alrasid Abdulmunap, an Alive teacher, then highlighted the review and evaluation of learners' participation in ALIVE Classes, where they teach the significance of complying with the Quran and using Polite Greetings and Islamic Expression in class.

Day 3 of the Midyear Program Review and Evaluation (MPRE) & In-Service Training

Title: Catch-up Fridays and Addressing and Documenting Child Protection Issues

The teachers of Josefa Cariño Elementary School did something different today. They participated in the Division Orientation on Catch-Up Fridays through livestreaming. This was through the leadership of Juliet C. Sannad, PhD., the Chief Supervisor of the Curriculum and Implementation Division. The presentations of the Education Program Specialists on Department Memorandum 001 s. 2024 served as bases of review and evaluation of how the school initially conductef the Catch-Up Fridays and arrived at the agreement that they will continue with how they started it.

This was followed by the continuation of the review and evaluation of the practices of the school in addressing and documenting incidence of bullying. Addressing and documenting incidence of bullying come together. The way incidence of bullying is documented speaks on how this was addressed. Thus, review and evaluation on this was conducted to strengthen practices in addressing and documenting incidence of bullying.

Day 2 of the Midyear Program Review and Evaluation (MPRE) & In-Service Training (INSET)

Title: Better Appreciation of the MOOE and Better Conduct of School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Sessions

The greatest part of the second day of this school year's Midyear Program Review and Evaluation (MPRE) & In-Service Training (INSET) was used for lectures directed at building better appreciation of the MOOE.

The day was started with a lecture on the MOOE, its utilization and liquidation. This was followed by the review and evaluation of the utilization of the MOOE allotment last year, 2023. Afterwards, all the financial plans for this year, 2024 were also presented, reviewed and evaluated. The series of lectures on the school MOOE was ended by a lecture on how to prepare a Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP) which was followed by a workshop as the teachers prepared PPMP by grade level.

The day was ended with a lecture on the preparation of a school learning action cell (slac) session plan. This is to redirect how school learning action cell session should be conducted and documented.

Midyear Program Review and Evaluation (MPRE) & In-service Training (INSET) at Josefa Cariño Elementary School (JCES)

All public schools in the elementary and secondary all over the country conduct a midyear program review and evaluation every school year simultaneously. The purpose of this activity is for the school head to meet with the teachers and non-teaching personnel to assess progress and goals and come up with plans for ways forward to address short falls.

Day 1

Knowing our Reasons for Being in School

Our reasons for being in school are the following:
1. Performance Indicators
2. Academic Performance
3. Reading Skills and Competencies

For the first day of this annual activity, master teachers and coordinators presented the statistical data of the accomplishments of the school as enumerated above with their narrative analysis. Their presentations were then reviewed and evaluated as these served as the basis of the workshop that followed.

The workshop was reflective following the STAR template.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, KA-DEPED! 🥳

Happy New Year po, mga kababayan.

Shukran.
