BEED interns took the lead as implementers, alongside speakers from The Blue Courier and facilitators from GEMS, in conducting a Seminar Write-shop in Campus Journalism Cum Leadership Training at Becday Chasoras Lamsis Elementary School (BCL ES) on March 14.
The event aimed to train and improve the journalism skills of young journalists. They organized the activity to stay updated about campus journalism, ensuring they learn the latest techniques and practices.
In addition, the event focused on enhancing methods and techniques in editorial cartooning and layouting. It also aimed to boost communication skills among students and staff, allowing them to effectively convey their ideas and messages through various media platforms.
Through a combination of seminars and workshops, participants were equipped with valuable knowledge and practical skills to excel in campus journalism and leadership roles.

In collaboration with the Sangguniang Kabataan of Paykek, Kapangan, Benguet and the Pre-Service Mathematics Educators Society, a mathematics tutorial took place at Paykek Elementary School on March 14-15.
Under the theme "Kinapateg di Adal: A Mathematics Tutorial," the event aimed to provide elementary students with a deeper understanding of their mathematics lessons. It also served as a platform for learning enhancement and development, while simultaneously honing the teaching skills of future pre-service mathematics educators.
"We express our sincere gratitude to the people behind this program for all that they've done to make this program successful," the organizers stated on their official page.

Jenny Rose Gamotlong, a student from CTE, arose success in the taekwondo flyweight title, against the College of Arts and Humanities in a hard-fought battle during the University Intramurals at BSU Gym on March 14.
The competition was fierce as both teams showed inconceivable ability and determination all through the match.

With the score, 5-3, CTE went straight home runs against CVM on BSU-University Intramurals Baseball Tournament at BSU Oval on March 14.
On the second game, CTE couldn't fight back against CHK which led them to fire head to head with CE for 3rd place.
On the last round, CE wins over CTE in a hard-taken on conflict, that makes CTE runs in 3rd runner up.

CTE exhibited firing spikes past CPAG, 25-18, 25-17, on BSU-University Intramurals Volleyball Men Tournament on March 14 at BSU hard court.
CTE took control from the beginning and got a persuading triumph in the two sets.

Ophalyn Laduan and Khris-ann Podesโ attacks with a clear shot advanced them to the Quarter-Finals, 3-0 in a 4-play event in Men and Women categories held on Tuesday, March 12 at BSU Gymnasium.
CTE smashes CNAS in their first match with a score of 31-22 advancing them to the second match over CIS, 31-24. CTE overshadows CNS with a score of 31-17 which resulted in CTE to advance for the Quarter-Finals, twice to beat.
In the Quarter-Finals, CHET's backhand tactics resulted in CTE not being able to secure a spot for the Semi-Finals.

CTE smashes led them to secure spots in 2 play events in the Men and Women's categories held on Monday, March 11 at BSU, Gymnasium.
In the first round, CTE garnered 1-4 over CNAS. CTE was dethroned in the SBAM, SBAW, and SBBW yet they kept the crown in SBBM.
In the second round of the game, CTE toppled over CIS with a score of 2-2. CTEians have the chance to get back the title in the SBAW and SBBW while SBAM and SBBM lose their opportunity.
CTE have still a chance to grab the title since the event is round-robin.

Call for Applicants: GBF TeachSTEM Scholarships for Pre-Service and In-Service STEM Teachers
The Gokongwei Brothers Foundation is now accepting applications for the GBF TeachSTEM College and Master's Scholarships for Academic Year 2024-2025.
Through TeachSTEM, GBF supports pre-service and in-service teachers in becoming champions of STEM education and meaningful student learning experiences.
Since its founding in 2018, GBF TeachSTEM has graduated 61 scholars and currently supports 453 scholars.
This year, GBF is looking for 330 new TeachSTEM college and master's scholars. The application deadline is April 30, 2024.

Flames of camaraderie and sportmanship burns in CTEian's heart as the torch of sportmanship was lit during the College of Teacher Education (CTE) Sports Fest on February 2-3, 2024 with the theme, "Cultivating Talent and Excellence through Sports, Culture, and Art." Various sports was conducted and played by the students as they feel ineffable experiences during the event.

In an effulgent display of wit and charm, Mr. ALLS, Ar-Jay Mannera, and Ms. ALLS, Micah Lawangen, clinched the prestigious titles of Mr. and Ms. CTE on February 3, 2024, at the BSU Gymnasium.
During the question and answer segment, Mannera, when asked about his response to potentially winning the crown, expressed his readiness with confidence.
" I believe in my capabilities on what I have done so far to ... take the crown," Mannera stated, emphasizing his commitment to embracing the responsibilities of the title.
Lawangen, when queried about integrating sports, culture, and arts into her future role as an educator, outlined her vision for an inclusive environment. "As a future educator, I'll envision an environment that is engaging,... where everyone (is allowed) to showcase their talents, an environment where everyone can participate," remarked Lawangen, emphasizing the importance of fostering a nurturing space for all individuals to thrive.
Taking the coveted positions of 1st Runners -Up are Mr. PRESMATHED, Exequiel Flores Ronquillo, and Ms. PRESMATHED, Danielle Pagaddut. Mr. FUSES, Aldrin Agageo and Ms. SAMAFIL, Lheya Masing emerged 2nd Runners - Up while Mr. FECEA, Kobe Christian Pawi and Ms. FECEA, Rosalie May Fernandez won 3rd Runners - Up.
The event highlighted not only the poise and charisma of the candidates but also their dedication to promoting inclusivity and excellence in education, upholding the vision and mission of CTE.

CTE participated in the colorful parade that highlighted the school's active student body by marching and cheering with pride on January 12, 2024. Students from several departments and colleges joined together to compete in the "laro ng lahi," displaying their abilities, hence, the event was a vibrant celebration of academic brilliance, camaraderie, and sportsmanship.
