Congratulations Fr. Narciso "Sisoy" A. Cellan, SVD, the President-Elect of the University of San Carlos for the Academic triennium 2020-2021 until 2022-2023. He will assume office on August 1, 2020.

Fr. Sisoy is from Lupon, Mati, Davao Oriental; born on August 10, 1969. He was ordained in 2000 as a Divine Word missionary.

His first mission assignment was to Kenya in Africa. His main work centered at the Tangaza University College in Nairobi, Kenya, an educational institution affiliated with the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

He served as a faculty member of the Institute of Social Communications at the Tangaza university, eventually becoming its Director, also as Director of the Institute of Social Ministry in Mission and Provincial Communications Director.

In July 2015, the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) conferred on Fr. Sisoy the title Doctor of Communication on his dissertation on exchanges in social media and social networking. He was among UPOU’s first batch of graduates.

In December 2019, he released the first volume of his book “E-Motion: Encounters and Journeys.”
