Congratulations to our Chief Fellow Nico Pajes for bagging the Most Outstanding Fellow-in-Training in the recently concluded Joint Annual Convention of the Philippine Society of Gastroenterology, Philippine Society of Digestive Endoscopy and Hepatology Society of the Philippines.
He also won 1st Place, Analytical Research Category.

The fluoroscopy room at the PGH Central Endoscopy Unit is now open!

Regular screening, beginning at age 45, is the key to preventing colorectal cancer and finding it early. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends that adults age 45 to 75 be screened for colorectal cancer. The Task Force recommends that adults age 76 to 85 ask their doctor if they should be screened. (From CDC - https://www.cdc.gov/cancer/colorectal/basic_info/screening/index.htm)

Ang SCREENING COLONOSCOPY ay parte ng mga rekomendadong pagsusuri sa lahat ng mga indibidwal 45 taon pataas na ginagawa para mahanap at matanggal ang mga "polyp" o kuntil na magiging sanhi ng cancer kapag ang mga ito ay napabayaan.

Ngayong buwan ng Marso, inaanyayahan po namin ang lahat na may edad 45 taon at pataas na magpasuri sa pamamagitan ng colonoscopy upang maiwasan ang COLON CANCER!

Dahil ang malusog na BITUKA at TIYAN as susi sa masiglang katawan!
