Dr. Reyes-Diyco on scoliosis:
Plain radiographs of the spine is still the gold standard in diagnosis and monitoring, C7 to iliac crests. Features to assess include bony abnormalities, Cobb's angle, vertebral rotation, skeletal maturation (Risser staging), and ribs.

Dr. Flores on acute and chronic osteomyelitis in children:
If left untreated, acute infections can progress to chronic, leading to the classic radiographic findings of sequestrum and involucrum. Aside from plain radiographs, other imaging modalities which can be used include ultrasound, CT, MRI, or nuclear imaging.

Dr. Wang on radiologic evaluation of metastatic bone disease:
Metastatic bone disease is the most common bone malignancy. The goal of diagnostics is to avoid redundant and noncontributory examination while achieving the highest accuracy possible.

Dr. Sibonga on carpal instability:
Patients presenting with carpal instability can be evaluated using various imaging modalities, including: x-rays, ultrasound, ct/mri and arthroscopy. On plain radiographs, a useful mnemonic in assessment is GLASS which stands for - gaps, lines, angles, shape, and symmetry.

Dr. Grozman on imaging for back pain:
Red flag signs will dictate if any imaging is required for immediate management. Once with spine imaging, the alignment, bone, canal, disc or degenerative changes, and other features are assessed.

Dr. Orillaza on the effectiveness of transdermal Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs on managing pain related to osteoarthritis.

Dr. Leung on radiation safety:
Physical effects of ionizing radiation include somatic and stochastic effects. To mitigate risks, decreasing time of exposure, increasing distance from the source, and appropriate shielding are recommended.

Dr. Dychingbing-Agsaoay on ultrasound of common hand tendinopathies:
MSK UTZ is an extension of history and PE in patient assessment and has the advantages including real-time direct visualization and dynamic evaluation of injuries.
