NEWS: 400 FOOD KIOSKS FOR DINAGYANG 2020

Some 400 kiosks for food and beverages in downtown streets will be made available for rent to vendors starting Nov. 29 in line with the celebration of Iloilo Dinagyang 2020 Jan. 24-26.

New organizer Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc. (IFFI) has limited the number of kiosk spaces so as not to obstruct the parade route of Dagyang sa Calle Real streetdancing on Jan. 25 and Dinagyang 360 tribes dance competition on Jan. 26.

Kiosk-in-charge Phillipp Chua said kiosks will be organized and set-up in a way not to block the flow of performances from Freedom Grandstand, Iznart-Solis St., Ledesma-Valeria St., and Ma. Clara St. in City Proper, as well as to clear the emergency lanes.

The 2.5x2.5-meter kiosk will be charged P5,000 for the three-day highlights.

Vendors will pay directly to bank account to be opened by the kiosk committee.

Kiosks will be situated along Iznart, Aldeguer, Delgado, Ledesma, Guanco, and Solis streets, while Arsenal area will be allocated for foodie members of "Kaon Ta, Iloilo" Facebook group.

IFFI will also limit ambulant vendors particularly along Bonifacio Drive as they will be given alternative areas upon recommendations of Public Safety and Transportation Management Office. (Iloilo City PIO)
