Cebu Pacific has just launched new direct flights from Iloilo to Tacloban and Zamboanga, opening up exciting travel opportunities for everyone to explore new breathtaking destinations.

JUST IN: Cebu Pacific said the direct flights from Iloilo to Hong Kong that will start on October 27, 2024 will be four times weekly — Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

ILOILO CITY IS COCA-COLA PH'S FOODMARKS EPICENTER OUTSIDE MANILA

Iloilo City is Coca-Cola Philippines' first destination outside Manila for its gastronomic campaign dubbed as Coca-Cola Foodmarks.

The campaign aims to promote both famous and hidden local foods and restaurants in different culinary epicenters across the country.

The official launching in Iloilo City was held Aug. 9 at Festive Walk Iloilo.

Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas, who was represented by Executive Assistant Jay Treñas during the launching, said the gastronomic collaboration further solidifies the city’s stature as the country's first Creative City of Gastronomy, designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

He thanked Coca-Cola for the partnership that helps elevate the city's status as a culinary destination and strengthens its position as a hub of culinary innovation in the country.

"This iconic dining experience is not only a celebration of our culinary diversity but also supports and promotes our local food industry as we nurture a spirit of collaboration and creativity," the city mayor said.

Pablo Noriega, Coca-Cola Philippines' Senior Director for Franchise Operations, meanwhile, emphasized that naming Iloilo City as the second Coca-Cola Foodmarks epicenter in the country is a fitting tribute to its rich culinary heritage.

"Coca-Cola®, a long-time companion at Filipino tables, recognizes the magic woven into Iloilo's food culture. Their Coca-Cola Foodmarks campaign, a celebration of the world's most iconic culinary destinations, has set its sights on this city, the first in the Philippines to be crowned the 'Creative City of Gastronomy'," Noriega said.

Under the campaign, Coca-Cola is hosting two weekends of Food Fests at Festive Walk's K-Town, from Aug. 9 and 10 and Aug. 16 and 17.

Among its Foodmarks-recognized restaurants featured for the campaign include Balay Bisaya Batchoy, Jeara's Tinu-om, Kap Ising Pancit Molo, and Mat-Mat Talabahan. (Iloilo City PIO)
