PROYEKTO PHILIPPINES COLLABORATES WITH ECOCUPID
May 5, 2024 - Proyekto Philippines participated in a meaningful workshop hosted by EcoCupid, designed to cultivate a new generation of environmental storytellers across Southeast Asia. This initiative aims not only to empower individuals but also to serve as a platform to showcase the narratives of eco-heroes through various media formats, including documentaries and articles.
Proyekto Philippines submitted the concept of the Philippine EcoFestival, which was successfully selected as one of the 12 Eco-Projects in Southeast Asia to be created with content aimed at increasing awareness about the project, maximizing youth gatherings to evangelize them as eco-heroes, and engaging many partners to collaborate on environmental sustainability. Other eco-projects that were selected are from Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
During the workshop, key members of the Philippine EcoFestival Team, including Kuya Daniel Agan - Chairman and President of Youth Proyekto Philippines, Inc., Ate Joy Penetrante - Supervising Lead of the project, and Ate Hannamae Aling - the Project Manager, collaborated on content creation with Sir Ramon Domingo Virrey, a Junior Creative Producer at VIVA Communications, Inc.
The objective of EcoCupid’s initiative was to brainstorm and craft a video campaign to broaden the reach of Proyekto Philippines' flagship project, the Philippine EcoFestival, beyond the Visayas Region. Through this partnership, the team envisions not only elevating the visibility of the upcoming project but also inspiring youth to actively participate in addressing environmental challenges globally.
This collaboration signifies a significant step forward in the organization's mission to amplify environmental advocacy efforts. With the support of EcoCupid and the dedication of the project team, everyone is looking forward to making a meaningful impact in promoting sustainability and fostering a culture of environmental stewardship among the youth locally and internationally.
EcoCupid is an environmentally focused social network platform that curates inspirational projects and educational content through multilingual media. Its primary aim is to connect environmentalists and their projects from all over Southeast Asia with each other and with professionals.

Happy Earth Day!
Today, as we commemorate the abundance our Earth has bestowed upon us, let's reflect on the beauty and bounty of our planet. From the majestic mountains to the vast oceans, our Earth provides us with sustenance, shelter, and awe-inspiring landscapes. However, as we celebrate, let's also acknowledge the urgent need to protect and preserve our precious environment.

As we celebrate Earth Day, let's take action to heal our planet. Whether it's participating in a beach cleanup, planting trees, or advocating for policy changes, every effort counts. Let's unite in our commitment to a cleaner, greener, waste-conscious future.
We’re also thrilled to announce that registration for Earth Warriors Invasion 2024 is open until today! Join us in this inspiring event dedicated to combating plastic pollution and championing environmental stewardship.

Waste-conscious Heroes, our 2023 Waste Count Report is now available!
While clean-up drives are undoubtedly valuable, they alone may not offer a comprehensive solution to the growing waste crisis, particularly in our oceans. However, at Proyekto Philippines, we recognize the significance of sustained efforts in implementing these initiatives.
Beyond simply removing trash, clean-up drives serve as a powerful tool for community engagement and awareness-building. They remind us of the importance of responsible waste management and prompt discussions that lead to policy improvements.
By continuing to organize these drives, we not only contribute to cleaner environments but also foster a culture of environmental stewardship. Together, we can make a meaningful impact, one clean-up at a time.
In this report, become more aware of the waste still present during the clean-up drive, the collective efforts of the volunteers, and the figures that can aid various units in crafting improved policies on waste management.
