Positive Action Foundation Philippines Inc. (PAFPI) would like to clarify and inform the public that it has never been a member of Network Plus Philippines since its formation. Our organization has never sent any representative to attend their meetings or to represent PAFPI in any capacity.

We emphasize that the Board of Trustees and the management of the Positive Action Foundation Philippines (PAFPI) has never authorized any individual to represent Positive Action Foundation Philippines Inc, (PAFPI) at Network Plus Philippines.

While we acknowledge the valuable role that Network Plus Philippines has played in uniting the community of people living with HIV organizations in the Philippines, we wish to clarify that our organization has not been formally affiliated with them.

Positive Action Foundation Philippines on Thursday launched the PAFPIcares Community Center in Malate, Manila with the goal of offering a wider range of assistance to individuals within the Persons Living with HIV (PLHIV) community.

The PAFPI Community Center, which was made possible with the support of USAID, PEPFAR and Epic-HIV Project, is set to function as a one-stop resource center, offering education, prevention, testing, and care services pertaining to HIV/AIDS.

The services offered at the center include HIV screening and testing and counseling for disclosure and stigma, Tele Medicine for Mental Health Services, Early Linkage to care, Self-Management Program, Access to antiretroviral therapy (ART) and other medical treatments Support groups and peer counseling, Health Educational workshops and training sessions, Referrals to healthcare providers and social services, and information regarding U=U or undetectable is equal to untransmissible.

We find the article cause of concern. Just for the information took the advocacy initiative on PHilhealth OHAT package through Philippine National AIDS Council - PNAC and DOH and Philhealth when the Secretary Duque was head of the Philhealth and the DOH . PAFPI advocacy work begun in 2009 until it was approved by law, so Filipinos living with HIV can access better treatment in hospitals without any problem.

We believed this concern of the PLHIV were valid and should be further look into the root of the issues written in the article.
