DLSU and Phil-tower Consortium Inc. officially sealed their partnership today, May 8, 2024, at the Henry Sy, Sr. Hall. This collaboration focuses on program BAM-TEC (Bamboo Treatment and Telecom Connections) which aims to utilize bamboo as structural elements for telecommunication towers. Honorable Jose Manuel F. Alba, Congressman of Bukidnon, Atty. Bobby Fondevilla, Executive Director of DTI-Board of Investments, Miss Maida Bruce, Chief Finance and Strategy Officer of Phil-tower Consortium Inc., and Dr. Raymond Girard Tan, Vice President for Research and Innovation of DLSU were present in the event.

This is also attended by representatives from Base Bahay, technical teams of Phil-tower Consortium Inc., DTI-Board of Investments representatives, faculty of the Department of Civil Engineering and graduate students.

Congratulations to Prof. Lessandro Estelito Garciano and Dr. Rodolfo Mendoza, Jr. for their election as President and Vice President of the Association of Structural Engineers of the Philippines (ASEP), respectively.

Prof. Garciano is a Full Professor and former Chairman of the department, while Dr. Mendoza is an Associate Professor of the DLSU Department of Civil Engineering.

DLSU garnered an 90.32% (84 out of 93) passing rate in the April 2024 Civil Engineering Licensure Exam against the National Passing of 39.27% (6,680 out of 17,010) with ENGR. RYAN SYLVESTER CHAN and ENGR. CEDRIC JEROME DONGUINES as FIRST PLACERS!

DLSU was also recognized as LONE Top Performing School with 50 or more examinees.
